You Have One Day Left To Get A Lot Of Star Wars Games For Cheap

There’s a chance that you might have most of these games already. God knows they’ve been on sale plenty of times over the last few years. But if you haven’t, or there’s just one or two games that you wouldn’t mind picking up for bugger all, then you’ve got just over 24 hours left to take advantage of a decent opportunity.

It’s Humble Bundle’s second mega Star Wars themed offering, and at the time of writing you still have a full day left to take advantage.

There’s a high chance that many of you will have quite a few of these games already, although the asking price is low enough that it might be worth picking up regardless just to gift the other copies away.

Tier 1: Pay US$1 or more

  • Star Wars: Rebellion
  • X-Wing Alliance
  • X-Wing vs TIE Fighter: Balance of Power Campaigns
  • Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga
  • 10% off Humble Monthly coupon

Balance of Power Campaigns was an expansion for X-Wing vs TIE Fighter that added a storyline for the Imperials and Rebels. It’s obviously not on the same par as TIE Fighter or X-Wing as a singleplayer experience, but it’s nice to have nonetheless. It’s a complete offering too — you won’t need to own X-Wing vs TIE Fighter to get it going.

Beyond that, X-Wing Alliance is pretty solid. It runs nicely enough on Windows 10, if you’re interested. The other games have their fans too, although Galactic Battlegrounds and Rebellion never quite worked for me.

Tier 2: Pay above the average (currently US$8.01 at the time of writing)

  • X-Wing Special Edition
  • TIE Fighter Special Edition
  • Knights of the Old Republic
  • Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
  • Star Wars: Dark Forces
  • Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
  • Star Wars: Battlefront 2
  • 75% off any 3 Star Wars games in the Humble Store coupon

Don’t own TIE Fighter yet? Excellent. Today’s a great day to get on board. The fact that you also get some quality shooters from the 90’s — the singleplayer in the second Dark Forces game holds up well, if you can stomach antiquated design tropes — is an added bonus.

Oh and you also get the two Knights of the Old Republic games. The first is still one of the best RPGs ever made and still Bioware’s finest hour.

Tier 3: Pay US$9.99 or more to unlock

  • Star Wars Empire At War: Gold Pack
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
  •
You’d need to feel very strongly about the RTS Star Wars games, have a family or someone you play a lot of co-op games with to justify diving in this far. That said, Empire At War is genuinely quite good.

I mean, you can chase Admiral Ackbar around the galaxy with the Death Star and a bevy of destroyers. That’s not too bad, right? And you’re saving US$10 on buying the pack separately through Steam.

Tier 4: Pay US$34.99 or more to unlock

    • Exclusive Star Wars T-Shirt

It’s a t-shirt from Fangamer. Looks nice, but I don’t know that I’d want to pay this much. I think I’d rather buy the Nuclear Throne shirt for US$24 instead.

So that’s the whole list. Head on over here if you’re interested.
