Someone Made A Daenerys Targaryen Portrait From Table Salt

As in, a portrait made of actual table salt. Of Daenerys, Mother of Dragons. Neat!

The portrait was crafted by artist DinoTomic, also known as AtomiccircuS on DeviantArt. It’s his third piece of salt artwork overall, but his first salt portrait (the other two, here and here, were a pair of mandalas.)

This is what he said about the process:

[Salt is a] really interesting and fun medium to work with. It really resembles airbrushing (i was working with the airbrush about 5 years ago) so it was really not that hard to get into salt =D After i crafted a few tools to help me distribute the salt, things were way easier to work with =D
