Oh man, I am way too proud of that pun. Has anyone made that joke yet? Am I the first? Please let me be the first.
There’s going to be a Dark Souls board game. It’s being made Steamforged Games who most recently made Guild Ball, a tabletop fantasy medieval football game.
So yeah, perfect background to make a Dark Souls board game, right?
Probably. The medieval bit at least.
There are very few details on precisely what this game will look like, but Steamforged Games posted this on their site a while back:
Steamforged Games is proud to announce we will be working with Bandai Namco Entertainment, developing an exciting board game for the Dark Souls universe.
As Dark Souls fans, we could not be more excited to be given the honour of developing a board game that embraces everything that makes Dark Souls the deep, compelling game experience that it is.
The Dark Souls board game will be launched on Kickstarter during April 2016.
I like easy board games. Any chance this turns out like Ticket To Ride?

I’m okay with the Kickstarter part mostly because it means I might actually be able to get hold of one.
Less okay with using Kickstarter along with company funding though.
