Since the open beta launched, it’s pretty clear that people like Overwatch. And I’m not just talking about the game.
You’d expect people to be talking and searching for Overwatch information to be at a high right about now given that the open beta is available on all major platforms. But it’s not just the open beta that’s getting a rise out of gamers — according to Pornhub, searches for Overwatch porn have gone sky high as well.
It’s not just a tiny bump either. According to the sex website, searches for Overwatch on Pornhub rose by 817% the first day of the open beta (May 6 Australian time). The spike was so large, they even produced an infographic for comparison.
Much of the Overwatch porn is produced using models made for Source Filmmaker. Some of these are actually free to download on the Steam Workshop; chances are you’ve seen a few machinima films using them on YouTube.
But you’re probably more likely to find those models being used in half-baked porn. “Sfm overwatch” is the fourth most popular search for Overwatch-related entertainment on Pornhub, with the most searched term relating to scenes involving the cockney-accented Tracer.
According to Pornhub, futa comes from the world of hentai where female characters sport the appendages of the other sex. “We found similar ‘futa’ searches when we studied the My Little Pony fetish among Bronies.”
Right then.
Another intriguing element from all of this was that people in South Korea were the most likely to be looking for this form of Blizzard entertainment. Probably not the surge in traffic the developers were hoping for, but any publicity is good publicity I guess.
South Korea beat out Belarus, Russia, Poland, Chile and Ukraine for the dubious honour, while Australia and New Zealand fell short of the extended rankings.

Did anyone NOT see this coming? Overwatch is, after all, basically TF2 with boobs and asses. It has girls to appeal to almost every taste except furries and MILF-lovers.
