Winter is here, which means it’s time for or hunkering down next to the heater and playing video games. We got a ton of awesome games over autumn; now let’s see what winter has in store.

Aww yis Lego Star Wars!
Oh yeah, that 3DS Metroid game!!
…oh. Yeah. That 3DS Metroid game.
Putting Mario/Sonic olympics made me think this was going to be a gag article.
That said… I’m really looking forward to Deus Ex and WoW: Legion. Maybe not on launch, but eventually.
BoxBoxBoy! and I am Setsuna. Oh and I guess No Man’s Sky
Any 999/Virtues Last Reward fans here open to the idea of pushing for a community-type play of Zero Time Dilemma? It’s too good a series to be forgotten and I would hate people’s time with the game ruined by drive-by spoilers in random posts.
You could probably set something like that over on the Zero Escape reddit, maybe set up a Discord chat? I think it would be interesting but difficult since some players will fly through puzzle rooms and there’s also the heavy RNG revolved around choices now, too, you’d have everyone going to different routes.
Where’s the RNG involved? There were only a couple like that IIRC in the others.
Trying not to spoil anything, but think of it like Schrödinger’s Cat. There’s new choices in ZTD that act like that; characters may come out alive or dead.
Deus Ex and No Mans Sky in the same month and not enough money for both. 🙁
You’re missing 2 out of 4 games I plan to buy.
#1 Arkham Knight GOTY: July 29
#2 Romance of the Three Kingdoms XIII: July 8
And you can’t say they aren’t ‘big’ games lol BoxBoxBoy? VideoBall?
Hey do you have any idea if the arkham knight GOTY is going to be on PC as well? i know normally other games do but with the whole problem it went through on PC im not sure.
NMS, DX-MD + (if it’s good) Xcom2 for ps4 (plz be good) are my picks. And if I’m not totally broke I’ll get Return to Arkham as anything Batman related is mine n my boy’s “thing” we talk about/watch/read/play together . Going back n taking turns at Asylum now he’s older n kicks ass at games is a thing we should really do.
August 10.
No Man’s Sky | PS4, PC | Exploration
The Winter hibernation begins
For the “quiet season”, there really is a ton of awesome stuff in there.
Tyranny, the new CRPG from the guys who made Pillars of Eternity, is coming in September as well, no release date though so that’s why it ain’t here.
Zero Time Dilemma, Song of the Sea (got that super limited collector’s edition preordered!), Abzu and Bound for me. Maybe No Man’s Sky, but the price is probably gonna mean I’ll leave it for later.
What about Final Fantasy XV? I thought that was coming out in September???
The title says it’s only “Every Big Game”. Niche titles like FFXV don’t count. ^_-
Um isn’t september spring? I remember phantom pain release day being warm
