That point on cash there at the end, I’ve wondered that a lot recently with the Opal cards being more of a thing. I used to always accrue a wallet full of spare change because of buying train tickets all the time, so it really makes me wonder how hard the buskers and such around the stations have been hit since those came in.
I usually opt for cash where I can because the physical act of giving away money makes me more aware that I’m actually spending stuff, though I do use my eftpos card far more these days than I used to.
