Allison Road Returns From The Grave

Like an old-fashioned zombie, the creators behind the P.T.-inspired Allison Road have announced that the game has risen from the ashes, but this time under a new label.

In an interview and an announcement on Facebook, Christian Kesler announced that the game would be moving forward as a solo project, with himself as the lone developer.

“For our gameplay trailer, I did all the modeling, texturing, shaders, lighting, etc., and thankfully a lot of the mechanics are already implemented from the previous development phase, so I can comfortably take the game forward by myself,” he told IGN.

On Facebook, Kesler quoted Einstein on failure and said that “if you are really passionate about something and you believe in its potential, you owe it to yourself to keep going”.

Allison Road was originally a Kickstarter project, but the crowdfunding campaign was canned after Team17, makers of the Worms series, came on as a publisher. Kesler didn’t provide any details about the cancellation in June, instead thanking fans for their generous support even after the project was seemingly no more.
