Comic Writer Christopher Priest On Luke Cage, Dwayne McDuffie And One Of Batman’s Biggest Dick Moves

Video: The man who’s currently writing DC’s excellent Deathstroke series has had one of the most eventful careers in comics. At New York Comic-Con last week, he talked about helping Luke Cage stop being a laughingstock and his first meeting with the legendary comic writer who helped found Milestone Media. (Also, Batman being a jerk.)

Christopher Priest was gone from comics for more than a decade. Now he’s back, returning DC Comics’ most skilled assassin to his supervillain roots. I had a chance to speak to Priest last week and the talk that follows covers a lot of ground, including his hopes for revisiting an beloved Teen Titans storyline, a story from the early days of Milestone and a remembrance of a great 1989 annual where Batman pulls off a brutal bit of manipulation on Two-Face. (That story gets broken down in detail right here.)
