Paying subscribers to Xbox Live can grab four games for “free” in November. The two games for the Xbox 360 are backward compatible, so you can play them on your Xbox One as well. Remember, these are only free if you have an Xbox Live Gold subscription.
This month’s Games with Gold are:
Xbox One
- Super Dungeon Bros (available November 1-30)
- Murdered: Soul Suspect (available November 16-December 15)
Xbox 360 (both are backward compatible)
- Monkey Island: SE (available November 1-15)
- Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon (available November 16-30)

Shame I already own the Xbox 360 games but I have wanted to check out Murdered: Soul Suspect even though it didn’t review well.
Same.
Although, I’m sure I own Monkey Island SE but it doesn’t show up on my Xbox so maybe I don’t. Unless it isn’t BC yet?
It definitely is BC, maybe try looking for it in the marketplace in case you hid it accidentally.
Go into it like you are, expecting nothing, and it’s not terrible. It’s main problem is that it takes an interesting premise and doesn’t do very much with it, it’s almost entirely “meh” in pretty much every aspect.
I’ve played a lot worse games, but if you have anything better to play at all, I’d stick with that.
You can run through that game in about 4-5 hours and get absolutely everything. It’s a decent premise but it’s not exactly a memorable game.

Those two 360 games are really good choices. It’s to the stage now that games which revolve around a standard gameplay formula have all been surpassed (and then some) by the next gen games.
Better that they pick a couple of games with personality or timeless gameplay than a 5 year old AAA shooter or racer that’s dated entirely.
That said, I own both games already. So that sucks. Can’t really complain about them giving away free games that I already own though, at least they’re picking games I’m interested in.
i quite enjoyed murdered soul suspect, the only thing i didn’t like is it’s one of those games that don’t let you go back and finish the collectables if you advance too far in the story.
Already finished Blood Dragon but that Dungeon game looks cool – currently enjoying the escapists!
