There’s an interesting range of games in PlayStation Plus’ lineup next month. Most exciting to me is The Swindle, a steal ’em up platformer I enjoyed a lot on PC. There’s also This War of Mine: The Little Ones, which adds what I’m sure is heart-wrenching content to an already heart-wrenching game.
As ever, these games are only “free” if you have an active PlayStation Plus subscription.
Playstation 4
- Day of the Tentacle Remastered (cross buy on Vita)
- This War of Mine: The Little Ones
PlayStation 3
- Blazerush
- The Swindle (cross buy on PS4 and Vita)
PS Vita
- Azkend 2
- Titan Souls (Cross buy on PS4)

DLC for a game I own on another platform. That’s a pretty crappy offering. Though I have been looking forward to trying Titan Souls, so it balances out. I should be excited about DOTT, but I just can’t muster enthusiasm for point-and-click stuff anymore.
If you’re talking about This War of Mine, my understanding is it’s not just the DLC, but rather “The little ones” is the full version as was released on console (and included what was dlc on PC at release).
Well, I stand corrected. That is kind of awesome, though that game was already depressing enough without adding children into the equation.
Was planning on renewing my PS Plus membership tomorrow since my 1 year subscription ended last week, but with such a disappointing line-up (I already have Titan Souls & Day of the Tentacle on PC) I think I’ll hold off until next month.
If I didn’t need PS+ for online play, I’d be cancelling it. Since the launch of the PS4 Sony’s offering have been nothing more than indie darlings (most of while I already get with my job) and stuff that’s been sitting in the bargain bin for months. Microsofts offerings actually look like they give a crap about the people paying for their service, where Sony just stopped caring since they make the money by paywalling online multiplayer games.
