After the newest Death Stranding teaser dropped, creator Hideo Kojima encouraged fans to go back in and look for clues, hinting that he was hiding some secrets within the footage. Fans are starting to find these secrets, and guess what, they are bonkers.
As spotted by constablegrimes, if you play both trailers side-by side (which is possible through YouTube Doubler), you’ll note that the baby held by Norman Reedus in one appears to transport itself into the hands of Guillermo del Toro in the other trailer at the exact same moment:
That is to say, when the baby disappears from Norman Reedus’ hands all of a sudden, it’s getting pulled into the world of Guillermo del Toro through a machine.
…what the fuck. That’s gotta be intentional, right? Will Death Stranding deal with multiple realities? What’s the importance of the baby in the first place? What does it MEAN, Kojima? Even if this is purely coincidental, I love that fans are getting so obsessive about these trailers, that they’re making connections that aren’t actually there.
I can’t wait to see what other wild stuff fans find, especially given that we’re about to hear more about Death Stranding at today’s Playstation Experience event.

This is some top tier kojima-ing.
He’s back, everyone!
Waiting to see people try chanting “Norman Reedus” into the microphone while watching the trailer.
Say ‘Kojima’ three time’s in front of a mirror and he’ll appear behind you….
And asks why you didn’t buy Zone of the Enders.
I bought it, but I have to say I’m not particularly enjoying it so far. It’s neither great nor awful.
Its definitely a product of its time, and a niche product at that. I liked it, but yeah, would not have aged well. lol.
This is fudged, there’s no alignment in the official trailers on Kojima’s channel. In the linked matchup, the new trailer is missing a chunk from the start. In the synced official trailers there’s a 20-ish second gap between the baby disappearing/appearing, even accounting for a slight difference in starting time.

This is the Internet. If 2016 has taught us anything it’s that facts don’t matter.
Read somewhere that you have to speed up the longer video so they’re both the same length, then they match up. This is apparently a reference to time dilation (think water planet in the movie Interstellar).
Anyone notice Norman Reedus has the same scars on his belly as the doll…? Did i break the code? Death Stranding is a Metal Gear meets Surgeon Simulator set in a totalitarian future…What do I win?
Oh Kojima you sooooo crazy
