Nintendo just announced that the latest installation of Fire Emblem, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, will be released on May 19th for the 3DS. The new game is inspired by Fire Emblem Gaiden, which was released only in Japan in 1992.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia follows two protagonists, Alm and Celica, in a world divided by two gods, one peace-loving and one who loved war. The game promises to put a “twist” on traditional Fire Emblem combat with dungeons, free-roaming and “flexible character progression.”

Hopefully this means a FE4 remake is coming eventually
ANOTHER ONE!?!
I like Fire Emblem, but they take a zillion hours to finish and this will be the 3rd or 4th (if you count the two versions of the last one) game this generation!
Meanwhile, every other Nintendo franchise could use a new 3DS game. Literally all of them, take your pick!
yeah gives us Advance Wars FFS. Or Pirkmin already
I imagine somewhere at Nintendo this conversation is happening:
“Two protagonists, two sides to a story? Let’s sell it as two separate games! Wait! Let’s add a third game as well where you tell both sides where to stick their war and do your own thing!”
woohooooooooo have played most verison of fire emeblem, easy one of my favourite series.
They really are going hard at Fire Emblem this generation, not that I mind however given I love the series. It’s definitely catapulted into one of their top tier IPs. Probably gone past metroid now.
More like re-do FF Tactics for 3DS not Wii U
