Never mind that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain came out in September 2015 or that most people are now playing something else. Konami released an update for the game, making Ocelot playable on Forward Operating Bases.

Here are the patch notes regarding Ocelot:

Ocelot is finally available in FOB missions !

You can play as Ocelot to infiltrate FOBs. You cannot change the uniform or the head option, but Ocelot has a slightly increased camouflage value, and he reloads and draws his weapons faster. He can use one pistol in each hand with the TORNADO-6. He can also use ricochet bullets on marked enemies.

*The defence value matches the highest defence value within the unlocked battle dresses.

The update also added things like new functionalities for the Wormhole Generator, FOB staff swimwear, and two new solider suits. It also fixed some minor bugs.

It’s also nice to see a game continued to get support, but it’s rather odd that The Phantom Pain is getting an update now. The last prior update was in August 2016!

Guess now is as good a time as any to fire up Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain again.
