Bungie Cancels Destiny 2’s Trials For Two Weeks Because Of Glitches

Destiny 2‘s competitive Trials of the Nine multiplayer mode will be delayed for two weeks after a glitch involving emotes allowed players to hide out of bounds.
SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT… IN TWO WEEKS

Earlier this week, Bungie removed players’ ability to purchase the “bureaucratic walk” emote after discovering they could could use it to clip out of bounds.

Players who previously bought the emote can still use it, however. In a blog post yesterday, Bungie announced they would be postponing Trials of the Nine until the issue can be resolved.

“As a follow-up to reported incidents of emote glitching in the Crucible, we are investigating a fix that we plan to deploy during the first week of November,” community manager Chris “Cozmo” Shannon said.

This is not the first time Trials of the Nine has made changes due to out of bounds glitches. Last month, the playlist changed from kill-focused Survival matches on the Altar of Flame map back to the bomb defusal Countdown mode on Eternity. Players on Altar of Flame could score kills against opponents before winning a match while hiding safely out of bounds.

As a big time Trials player, this news is a bit of a bummer. Still, it’s better than getting outplayed by a ton of Monty Python goofballs glitching their way to victory.
