Tales from the Borderlands is another one of those games I own on multiple platforms but still haven’t gotten around to playing. If you’re in the same boat, Xbox Live Games with Gold has you covered this month. As always, these games are only “free” if you have an active Xbox Live Games with Gold subscription.
November’s Xbox Live Games with Gold are:
Xbox One
- Tales from the Borderlands (November 16-December 15)
- Trackmania Turbo (November 1-30)
Xbox 360 (compatible with Xbox One)
- Nights into Dreams (November 1-15)
- Deadfall Adventure (November 16-30)

Playstation did Tales from Borderlands earlier this year. Downloaded it and ignored it for a while then finally decided to give it a go. Quickly became my favourite telltale game ever and one of the funniest I have ever played. The soundtrack found its way to my spotify playlists too
I’m not a fan of Telltale games, it’s just not my thing.
Trackmania should be a bit of fun though. I had it on PC years ago and had been contemplating getting on the Xbox.
If you liked the old PC Trackmania you’ll enjoy this. Perfect as a Gold game as I imagine a lot of people will get put off once the difficulty starts to hit extreme. I know I did. Had a lot of fun with it up until then, though, was well worth the $20 I paid for it.
I had exactly the same experience. Great when you have mates round with the splitscreen option. I am not normally a racing game fan but this hit all the right arcadey notes …. until you get to the extreme levels… my god they are nigh on impossible!
