Play Warhammer Online For Free, Forever
November 10th, 2009 at 11:19 AMUnless I’m mistaken, Lord of the Rings Online also does this. Its a good enough system but WAR has too many technical issues for me to go back to.
PC Version Of Dragon Age Patched, Explained
November 8th, 2009 at 4:41 PMI didn’t know DEX was bugged. Makes a lot of sense though. The additional damage I’ve been getting form cunning since becoming an assassin has been good but my damage still feels really low. Now I know why!
I didn’t spend too much time on the DA forums. Seems to be a congregation of PC elitists and.. very strange people that get raging boners over virtual romances… Bioware has a lot of strange fans >_>
PC Version Of Dragon Age Patched, Explained
November 8th, 2009 at 4:38 PMI haven’t played WoW in years. I played from launch till about a year after. Rogues pwnt Mages to begin with but there was a time after a mage buff patch that stealth was buggy and our survivability was tiny. I think it was shortly after the diminishing returns on stunlock. Not sure. Can’t remember. PvP wasn’t too bad but the big thing was that rogues didn’t have the sustained mega damage to be taken into raids. No one wanted us, whether in parties or raids…
But I hear all that changed a few months after I left. Shame I didn’t get to see it but I’m still happy I left XD

PC Version Of Dragon Age Patched, Explained
November 7th, 2009 at 5:53 PMI’m a rogue and I’m finding I’m dying a lot and my whole party is chugging down potions. I was watching my sister play and the same dungeon that gave me so much trouble, her mage was blitzing through. The mages damage and crowd control is uncomparable to my poor old rogues. This feels like WoW all over again XD
I wish they’d launch a bug fix for teh console version. I’ve had to do 3 hard resets and 2 saves which I couldn’t use because certain bugs would be there from loading – specifically in the fade when I’d start the game on one side of a close door and somehow be in combat with monsters on the other side (and therefore be unable to interact with the sodding door :( ).
For a bioware title, its really… unpolish :/
Rumoured Kameo 2 Killed To Make Room For Natal Projects
November 5th, 2009 at 12:15 PMKameo had many flaws but it was still a good game. That’s saying a lot coming from me given how much Zelda type games bore me. With the new larger casual install base of XBOX360 they’d be fools not to release another Kameo. But I suppose I’m better off in the long run with Rare working on Natal than a Kameo sequel :/
Dragon Age Is "The Old Shit And The New Shit"
November 3rd, 2009 at 12:33 PMThe marketing turned me away but then a friend forced me to watch gameplay trailers and suddenly I was interested again. There’s a massive difference between the two worlds.
And although I’m sure it’ll be very much like the old BG games, I’m not expect much more than an aggregate of 8/10 for this game. The graphics look like mud and really REALLY put me off. I know graphics don’t make the game, especially a Bioware game but this is just weak.
An Early Look At Interplay's Fallout MMO
November 3rd, 2009 at 1:56 AMProps to the artist, but it means little about the final game.
Aussie Charts: Forza Takes Pole
October 29th, 2009 at 6:17 PMI’ve gone from not buying anything in months to picking up 2 games in one week. Damn its a good week :)
Aussie Charts: Forza Takes Pole
October 29th, 2009 at 6:16 PMGlowing reviews… 83% on Metacritic… extremely good word of mouth…
No, none of these overrides Kotaku’s ridiculous overplugging of the game, right?
I don’t mean this in a harsh way, I do mean this in a genuine question kind of way but, do you ever feel that being ‘independent’ or different from the pack is costing you more than its benefiting? This example is just a game, but I have 2 friends that instinctively will refuse to try anything mainstream (hobby, movies, games, non-nerdy activity, ANYTHING). They like being different… they like following the Indie scene. My response is ’stop trying so hard’ but thats just me :(

AU Diary: Tekken Your Questions
October 26th, 2009 at 6:53 PMWhat does he feel is more accessible to the average consumer, fast action games like Street Fighters (and to a lesser extent Dead or alive) or the slower fighting games such as Tekken and Virtual Fighter?
Will there every be a non-fighting game spinoff for the series much like “Death by Degrees” starring Nina?

October 22nd, 2009 at 12:01 PMThe Persistent Rifle
A rather weak gun that shoots unspired entries into both your enemies and various competitions. However the poor quality of the rifle’s output means that there is little to no input. The benefit being that it does not actually require any ammunition to fire.
Regardless of the strength of your targets armour, a year of persistent fire will bring anything down*!
* Maybe… Probably not. You’re better of using the rifle as a club.

October 21st, 2009 at 5:10 PMThe Harleyquinn.
A gun in the shape of a clown face that shoots minature Harley Davidson’s at the target. The target is overwhelmed by the noise and terrible engineering of american automation and falls unconcious. Also effective vs groups.
Bayonetta's "Perfect" Famitsu Score - There's A Catch
October 21st, 2009 at 5:00 PMFamitsu = rubbish to you. Very highly regarded in Japan. May not matter to you but i’ll raise a few eyebrows among the Otaku ;)

October 20th, 2009 at 11:47 AMThe Recessionizer
When fired into an area, all money is vapourised. The shock of the event causes most enemies to kill themselves leaving their other loot behind (provided the suicide wasn’t too elaborate). The ones that survive are dragged out of their homes and left for dead in the streets by repo men when the bank forecloses a few hours later. A fantastic way of clearing a hostile base camp for property development opportunities!
What's On Good Game TV Tonight?
October 19th, 2009 at 11:17 PMSomewhere between no career mode and that hilariously bad looking tutorial, this game seems to terrible for me to take seriously :(
I remember playing burnout paradise on the PSP. That was awesome and well fleshed out. This… not so much :(
I suppose if you’re REALLY into GT then modding the stats of cars might be interesting… but seriously, no career mode? WTF??
AU Diary: I Bought That PS3
October 19th, 2009 at 5:46 PMI get that a bit at my local EB when pre-ordering 360 exclusive games. Like… MS studio games >_>
You can excuse them when its a pretty girl behind the counter because… she’s pretty :P
But when its a geeky looking dude that asks what console Forza is on…. -_-

October 19th, 2009 at 4:34 PMJust watched the reviews on their site. I haven’t touched my PSP in almost two years so I just clicked on their review of Gran Turismo on a whim… oh my god that game looks bad >_>
I’m really surprised to see such an important franchise for Sony come in such a crappy form…

October 19th, 2009 at 3:10 PMThe Penetrado
An odd steampowered gun that uses pressure to fire poisoned railroad spikes at high speeds. Although scientists are unable to explain the phenomenon, the gun is guaranteed to cause critical damage if the target is shot from behind. The engravings of Tom Cruise and John Travolta on the barrel of the gun only add to the mystery…
What Are You Playing This Weekend?
October 17th, 2009 at 4:40 PMDawn of War II, that new Last Stand gameplay mode is weirdly addictive. Its taking my precious time away from studies however ;_;
