Harada Explains: Why Tekken Is Different From Other Fighting Games

bigkid, in the same way you think Harada lacks knowledge in Virtua Fighter, you also lack knowledge in Tekken. Learning a 10 hit combo means nothing on the pro-level. This always happens between fighting game comparisons…

Luckily, I won’t start insulting Virtua Fighter like the other fanboys because I’m a fighting game enthusiast and respect all of them.

Anyway, I know the exact feeling that Harada is talking about when you land a launcher and how good it feels to land a deadly aerial combo. I’m impressed that he understands this. The bound system is actually refreshing in my mind.

I’ll be getting Tekken 6 because its one of the best fighting games out. PSN: HybridGB – Aussies only, can’t play with lag. I also play SF4.

Sony On Microsoft And Nintendo

I see what the man is saying. You’ve gotta look at it from a business perspective and when he mentions “risk” he means a certain type of risk.

Looking at console builds for example: Microsoft took a risk in building a good console that was cheap but had a massive failure rate. This isn’t the type of risk you want. Nintendo took a major risk by taking a bad console, calling it “Wii”, creating new controls but then selling at a cheap but profitable price per unit. New controls we like, the rest doesn’t matter. Sony created a powerful console that worked well but was heavy on costs. Although it was a seemingly high price, the console was still sold at a loss per unit. This is the risk we want.

There’s more to be said but I’m gonna stop there.

I think this is the first time I’ve actually preferred the English version. For once they nailed it.

As to the guy that said Snow’s voice sounded familiar, I thought that too. After thinking for a second, I reckon its the same voice as the English Goku from DBZ.
