Study Finds Wii Fit Produces "Underwhelming Results"
November 12th, 2009 at 8:56 AMsorry, it submitted for some reason, was going to say that a general circuit training class only burns around 450 calories per hous, an arobics class around 300, leisure cycling around 200 calories, tennis around 350-450, power-walking around 230… So as a general fitness thing, 320 calories per hour is quite reasonable.

November 12th, 2009 at 8:50 AMAlso, 320 calories burned per hour isn’t bad. Circuit training only burns
Study Finds Wii Fit Produces "Underwhelming Results"
November 12th, 2009 at 8:47 AMIt isn’t completely useless at all. Quite a few of my friends are single mums and they just can’t get out of the house and to the gym with any real regularity. For them Wii fit has gotten them into a regular exercise routine, they workout regularly even if it isn’t a super-hard workout, they have managed to get into the routine. It makes them think about what they eat and they have goals and compare and encourage each other. It was the motivation they needed to feel better about themselves and start getting healthier. On it’s own it doesn’t do a lot, but it can help some people who are pretty much house-bound get some motivation and it is working for them.

November 11th, 2009 at 12:06 PMNah, definitely the PC version, My ST version didn’t look this good.

November 11th, 2009 at 10:27 AMOne of the Ishar trilogy? It looks like the DOS version, it wasn’t as colourful on my ST.
There is a walkthrough for Legend of the fortress here:

Modern Warfare 2: 360 Vs PS3 (Part II)
November 10th, 2009 at 9:23 PMI actually prefer the look of the PS3 version, it looks more like a photo to me, the 360 version looks like a game. Games tend to be too contrasty, just like a lot of current films. It grates on me after a while. People think it is ‘clearer’ but that it like turning the treble up on your music, it sounds ‘clearer’ but is unbalanced and gets on your nerves after a while. All said though, I just did a very slight adjustment to the brightness and contrast to bring it just one notch towards the 360 version and it looks about right to me.
Modern Warfare 2: 360 Vs PS3 (Part II)
November 10th, 2009 at 9:17 PMI have a 3metre wide projection screen and would rather play on my console than on my PC, I have a quad core with a 4870, not the latest and greatest but good enough, but PC gaming tends to annoy me, there always seems to be some fiddling to do.
I have the PS3 and the 360, but I bought on the PS3 for free online play.

November 10th, 2009 at 12:30 AMAwesome! My daughter asked me today if they would ever make “Flute Hero”, now I can just set up a mic on a stand and she can have her wish…
Modern Warfare 2, 360 Vs PS3
November 9th, 2009 at 8:20 PMFunny, in the small screenshot on this page, the PS3 shot looks washed out, click on it though and see the full res picture and the PS3 image looks much better than the 360 version.
What's On Good Game TV Tonight?
November 9th, 2009 at 8:17 PMActually, I thought the opposite, I thought her speech sounded pretty natural and *not* sounding like it was coming off an auto-cue, she seems to know her stuff. She seems remarkably *not* awkward considering she has only done a couple of episodes.
It will take quite a few weeks to settle in and find yr stride, it isn’t easy.
Let's Compare Tekken 6 Load Times
November 6th, 2009 at 10:11 AMBut you can add any HDD you like to the PS3, so disc load times really aren’t an issue when $100 buys you a 500GB hard drive, you just install everything.

What's Cut From Aussie Left 4 Dead 2, And How To Uncut It
November 2nd, 2009 at 10:59 AMI actually prefer the lack of bloodspatter on the screen and less gibs, but the disappearing bodies and lack of fire is no fun.

Aussie Charts: Forza Takes Pole
October 30th, 2009 at 9:33 AMCould everyone that bought Forza3 start lobbying for system-link to be put back in? For those of us without a decent internet connection, this is a real bummer. Forza 2 was a lan-party staple here, we have been waiting for Forza3 with so much anticipation, and now we can’t play it multiplayer. I’m so bummed.
Ask Me Stuff
October 28th, 2009 at 2:12 PMYeah, I was expecting the worst when tuning in, but Hex was actually pretty good, especially for a first episode in.
I still find the REI parts forced though, they sound like my old high-school interviews.
So yeah, I hope Jung is doing what he wants to do, and I’ll still be tuning in.
Ask Me Stuff
October 28th, 2009 at 2:08 PMIs it true that Forza 3 has no system link for LAN play??
I went to buy 4 copies today for me and the boys for a big lan weekend, and on the back it says no system link? I’m holding of buying them till I can find out.
Surely this is a mistake? We only have satellite internet out here, and if this is true then I’ve been waiting over a year for F3 for nothing.

October 20th, 2009 at 10:56 AMYeah that has to be the SMS version.
What's On Good Game TV Tonight?
October 19th, 2009 at 5:13 PMI wonder if he played it on the Pengo version that played ‘pocorn’ as the BGM. God I’d go insane if that was the case.
I remember back in the 80s playing defender for 11 hours straight on one coin, then they kicked me off to close the arcade for the night, I’ve always wondered where that score might have ranked. Had a blister on the base of my thumb the size of a 50c piece the next day, it was like a snowglobe.
