Reggie: Wii 2 Theories Miss Key Point

If I know Nintendo we wont see a Wii HD. It will be a whole new beast entirely. Adding HD is not innovation and innovation is what Nintendo is all about. I expect a brand new controller and a brand new experience all together. 2012 seems likely for a launch depending on sales of current gen. 2011 E3 will be interesting. I love new hardware Launches.

Now Nintendo has recaptured their audience I believe their next gen hardware will be impressive. They just need to give the devs some headroom so they can make HD games if they wish. As Nintendo has proven not everything needs to be cutting edge to be entertaining. But its a shame when games like Zelda and Final Fantasy are limited to such tight specs. If this rumor has any truth to it i’m really excited as Nintendo are my fav and their 1st party software still impresses me every time.

I fully agree with Reggie. Mario will outsell any single platforms sales of MW2 hands down. Maybe you guys are forgetting the 20 million it sold on DS. Or the 18 million Mario Kart wii has sold. MW2 is restricted to people over 15 as well and even 18 in most cases where as Mario can be enjoyed by everyone young and old.
Only time will tell.

Ive played the Demo and it’s fantastic. It plays alot better than DMC and feels just as epic as any God of war. The combos go deep the animations are over the top and please the eyes.

I played the ps3 version and although it did look pretty there was some screen tearing, but nothing to distracting.

Old News '01: Star Fox Adventures Should Keep Enthusiasts Happy

If you were a RARE fan from the N64 days then this game was massive! I loved this game. It took a Zelda style setup and applied it to a beautifully crafted world that had that great RARE feel. Did it need to be a Starfox game, no I don’t think so. But I don’t think it detracted from the experience either. If it was an original IP it might have had a more cult following similar to Beyond good and Evil. But sadly it’s now tainted for being a “bad Starfox game”.

I totally agree with ya there Mike. The series needs to go back to it’s roots. The Wii’s third person aiming mechanics are fantastic and would be perfect for Starfox.

Does anyone know why Starfox was named Starwing in AUS, or why Starfox 64 was names Lylat Wars? Kinda weird really.

It can’t be to hard to change the boards over in the arcade machines. I don’t see why arcades wouldn’t want the best version of SFIV. I would head on down to my local arcade to play it for sure. I used to go to Timeout at Box Hill (VIC) all the time to play SFIV before the xbox version came out and I easily put over $100 into it.

It could be similar to Mario & luigi RPG 3 on DS where you have a demo section in the menu that shows you how to do all the special attacks.

I’m a massive 2d fighting fan so its really not that hard to decide. Super Street Fighter II turbo HD remix hands down gets my vote. Also worth a mention are Castle Crashers, Trials HD, Shadow Complex, Geometry Wars 1 & 2, MVC2, Flip note studio, Metal Slug 3, contra, TMNT 1989 arcade. Actually there’s a tonne of great games out there worthy of anyone’s time.
