Reader Review: DJ Hero
November 6th, 2009 at 10:25 PMAgreed with the tutorials. Would be good for new players to learn, but forcing it is a bit annoying. I tried the game out on a friend’s copy, and did the tutorial on his machine, but the game forced me to go through it again on my machine before I could play. Was able to skip through them, but still an annoyance.

September 10th, 2009 at 11:15 PMUgh, I have a heap of games on my iPhone, but the only ones I can play without forcing mysef are simple casual 5 minute games liek Peggle and Bloons. Resident Evil 4 on iPhone controls awfully, but if they released it on PSP, it would play control well, and look better :D
iPod Touch and iPhone as gaming platforms are good for quick simple games, but for anything complex/non-touch screen friendly, the buttons/general goodness of DS/PSP win.

I had to abandon CFW to play my UMD copy of Dissidia, not missing it TBH, but I have my Pandora battery for later if I do end up missing it :D

AU Diary: To Invert Or Not Invert
July 10th, 2009 at 8:49 PMI have to use inverted for console shooters, and find myself inverting y-axis camera controls in platformers/third person games.
I used to play inverted with a mouse too, my experience coming from Ace Combat on PS1 made me think that it was the way to go, but I somehow started using un-inverted and I still use uninverted today for a kb/mouse shooter.
A joystick it just sorta makes sense to pull back to point upwards!
