WIN! A LittleBigPlanet PlayStation Portable Bundle

We made lots of post
That annoyed him the most
But he never got frustrated!

Modern Warfare 2 Selling Just Fine On PC
November 22nd, 2009 at 1:39 AMBut Andrew, where do you draw your line?
When they force you to use a 360/PS3 controller instead of keyboard and mouse?
When core game play elements are altered in favour of balance for the console versions?
When they start to ban modders/mapmakers for making ‘unofficial modifications’ to their game?
When updates and DLC become console exclusives?
When PC versions are delayed for months and months?
When they decide not to make PC versions at all, because consoletards will buy dog shit if it has CoD written on it (Case in point: World at War)?
What this ‘boycott’ has proved is that either the hardcore PC gaming community is much smaller than we thought, or that PC gamers will cave instantly to developers.
Both are very troubling, as the PC gaming community are the driving force behind innovation, balance, and generally knowing what a good game is (case in point, Counterstrike’s rise from 3rd party mod to one of the most popular FPS’s of all time)
We’re heading towards a future where developers snub the PC gamers and develop simpler and simpler gamers for their ‘casual’ console audience, which will inevitably backfire when it finally hits the casuals just how shit the games have become, and they go back to riding bikes or playing football or whatever.
Then we have another video game crash

What Left 4 Dead 2 Boycotters Are Playing
November 18th, 2009 at 12:26 PMNo, the original leaders of the group announced that they were not going to boycott it anymore.
Many members felt this was because vale threw money at them (flew them out to valve HQ, gave them exclusive time with the game) and their opinion was therefore skewed.
So the boycott continues, just with people who have a slightly bigger moral compass
Ask Me Stuff
November 18th, 2009 at 12:20 PMIt’s hosted with listen servers, IE: One of the players in the game hosts it, it could be you, but it will most likely be the guy in Azerbaijan which will make you all lag to fuck
Left 4 Dead 2 Review: We Don't Care How You Did It Up North
November 17th, 2009 at 6:34 PMMicheal, i’d really like to have a no-bullshit response of:
Is this game different enough from L4D1 to warrant a purchase
A lot of the stuff you speak of in your review seems like minor upgrades over things that they already had in the original.
A few other questions i have, for anyone who played the first game a lot:
Are the characters as likeable as the first game?
What’s the co-op campaign like?
Does it have 4v4 Matchmaking?
What’s the balance like in versus?
And a few questions for anyone who has the Australian version:
Are the changes REALLY noticeable to the point where they start to effect gameplay?
Do you often find yourself kicked from servers for using the Aus version?
And Lastly, a Big question for PC users!
What’s the matchmaking like? Especially for aussies! We all remember the horrible fiasco of early L4D1 matchmaking, putting you in Valve hosted US servers or worse, locally hosted!
Good review though, was never going to buy this game but now… eh, i’ll wait till it’s 50% off :P
Modern Warfare 2 Gets Dedicated PC Servers (Well, Sort Of)
November 17th, 2009 at 4:05 PMIf they patch it out, the hackers will just update it. Pirates/hackers are always ten steps ahead of developers. Good developers learn to cope with the pirates instead of trying to stop them
Infinity Ward thinks they control the universe.
Seriously, IWnet is disgraceful, especially if you are an Aussie/european

GameStop To Sell DLC...In Their Stores
November 14th, 2009 at 8:34 AMI can see the benefit of this to people who have slow internet connections or limited download quotas. Some of those DLC packs can have a pretty hefty size limit, and that’s what stops a lot of people from experiencing good content

MSNBC Talks Terrorism Of Modern Warfare 2 With Totilo
November 13th, 2009 at 7:00 PMAnother thumbs up from me here! That could not have gone better. After hearing so much ignorance and intolerance about video games latley (mostly around the R18+ rating in Aus), it’s good to see that there are still people who are willing to listen to and comment on rational argument.
Tell Us Dammit
November 13th, 2009 at 6:54 PMNone. Was going to buy just a standard PC version until the whole dedicated server fiasco -_-. I’ll stick to COD4 and TF2 for my multiplayer fix thankyouverymuch.
Played through most of the SP with a friend on his PS3, which only solidified my choice. The Cod4 campaign was leaps and bounds ahead of this one, the only really fun level in MW2 is the one where you kill all these people in an airport. Made me think back to good ol GTA III and VC days. Ha ha!

New 360 Wireless Network Adaptor Coming Nov. 26
November 12th, 2009 at 11:24 PMIt’s cheaper to buy a 2nd hand netbook off the street and use it as a wireless adaptor.
Seriously, Microsoft bleeds us fucking DRY with their accessories.
Wireless adaptor: $149 for Xbox, comes built in on Wii and PS3. Heck, for the price of TWO wireless adaptors, you can buy a whole wii! Am I to assume the wireless protocol in the wii is worth HALF the console?
Battery Packs: ~$30 each. Granted, the wii is the same, but there are many cheaper 3rd party options available, and with the PS3 this comes built in
Hard Drives: $120 for 120gig? Seriously, this is the worst part by far. Considering you can get a TERRABYTE of SATA storage for that price on any normal PC, and that the PS3 can use any portable hard drive, this price is despicable. I’d put in the fact that there’s no HD on the Wii, but anyone who is a serious gamer that owns a Wii has already hooked theirs up with the no-risk homebrew HD hack

Aliens Vs Predator Vs Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle
November 12th, 2009 at 8:33 PMConsidering that one of Sega’s prior releases, ‘House of the Dead Overkill’ was submitted and passed in Aus, and that it had copious ammounts of violence, i’d assume that they’d still at least TRY with Aus.

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Review: This Means War
November 11th, 2009 at 7:04 PMThat’s really unfair.
In games that have dedicated servers (i’m using TF2 as an example, because IMO it is the best example of the community driving a game to it’s maximum), there are servers all over Australia.
Many ISP’s also offer incentives to play on their servers, for example, if you are with internode and play on a games.on.net server, it doesn’t charge you any bandwidth!
Bargain Hunter: That Wii Bundle Is This Much
November 11th, 2009 at 3:07 PMSmash Bros is equal to ALL THREE of the other games included in the JB deal (wii Cricket, let’s tap and virtua tennis) so the harvey normal deal is far superior.

BlazBlue PSP Screens Reveal The Lower Res Rebel
November 11th, 2009 at 2:11 PMAgreed. The most annoying part is my friend just imported a copy to play on his PS3, but i can’t do that because of the RETARDED region coding on xbox 360 -_-
Ask Me Stuff
November 11th, 2009 at 12:58 PMI really hope they actually work on the open world system this time. I read an interesting article in PC powerplay ages ago, that proposed the idea that the Jackal should have existed somewhere in the far cry 2 universe, and that it should have been possible for you to collect information and track him down at your own pace, instead of the linear complete mission -> advance story formula they have gone with
