Danish Group Asks You To "Hit The Bitch"
November 21st, 2009 at 9:57 PMI think you guys have missed the point. I think it’s supposed to point out how people can think of hitting a woman (or as I prefer: hitting someone) as ‘no big deal’. I’m pretty sure these guys
So even we at Kotaku are now against games that contain socially unacceptable behavior? Haven’t we been through this, with Fallout and Bioshock and GTA? I get the game glorifies it… but that’s the point. Noone is supposed to take it literally.
Band Hero Track Edits Are Ridiculous
November 8th, 2009 at 4:46 AMI really don’t understand this. There are plenty of family friendly songs out there. Why pick obscure songs with sexual references, only to cut them? This makes no sense at all. Are they trying to appeal *literally* to everyone? If so, they have no problem releasing 1000’s of versions of a game, why not make a ’serious’ one (Guitar Hero 6) and then a ‘Family’ one (Band Hero)?
Wait, did I
The point is, I could probably come up with a 100% clean list in about half an hour for them. With upbeat, catchy, fun songs that everyone knows, too. (Yes, I like some pop music. Sue me.)
Fools.
Exclusive Interview With Australia's First Gamer Rights Political Party
November 6th, 2009 at 2:15 PMThis is really good. The guy sounds really smart and level headed. He just needs to get rid of the name of the party and find a new one.
Blizzard Starts Selling In-Game World Of Warcraft Pets
November 5th, 2009 at 2:41 PMSo this game has officially jumped the shark.
There was a pretty slim chance of me ever going back, now it’s zero.
This is really, really sad. They don’t even care about the lore they worked so hard to create anymore? :’(
Xbox 360 Owners "Defecting" To PS3 For Sequels?
November 5th, 2009 at 2:39 PMCan someone banhammer this guy?
Also, if you don’t think the 360 still has ridiculous hardware failure rates, you are deluded.
Housekeeping: Mind Your Comments, Please
November 3rd, 2009 at 3:56 PMI’m using Safari on a Mac and I can’t unclick it. I also can’t click the US site version link in the top left hand corner, and never have been able to.
For months I couldn’t click the comments link on any stories either.
It doesn’t work in any of the following browsers: Chrome (XP), Safari (Leopard), Firefox (Linux, Windows).
The brokenness of this site is something that prevents me visiting it more often. But I’m sure Kotaku is aware of it by now.
Great. Now I HAVE to publish this comment to facebook. *sigh*
Good Game Explains Why Junglist Was Axed
October 30th, 2009 at 3:55 PMQuite honestly we saw alot of those 2 hosts. Surely they could’ve just added Hex without axing Jung? It’s not as if he was the *only* one guilty of giving out review scores between 8 and 10 only.
I support you Jung, and I’m disappointed to see Bajo’s post. He was no better a host than you and him brushing it off as ‘your version of events’ was disrespectful. I’m sure he would feel differently if it were *him* getting axed.
Ballmer: You'll Be Able To Get Blu-ray Drives As Accessories

WIN! A Badass Borderlands Xbox 360 Prize Pack
October 22nd, 2009 at 3:04 PMThe Feature Rifle:
Not content with leaving Borderlands as an FPS RPG with cel shading, coop, and randomly generated weapons, the FeatuRifle adds another feature to the game *every time it is fired*!!
Your opponent got you pinned down in a corner, ready to fire mercilessly at your head and put an end to it all? Just fire your FeatuRifle, and instantly transform Borderlands into a pen and paper tabletop game! Roll a 20 and be on your way!
Not content with the game being all *fair* and *balanced*? Use FeatuRifle’s alternate fire to transform Borderlands into an RTS in a flash! Rush your enemy with hundreds of units, each outiftted with their OWN FeatuRifle! It couldn’t get any less fair than this!
FeatuRifle! Available at all good cel-shaded retailers now.
Report: PSPgo Flops In Australia
October 20th, 2009 at 11:22 PMThis is redefining entertainment. Watching Sony make stupid mistake after stupid mistake and never learn from their decisions is hilarious!!!
The Left 4 Dead 2 Boycott Is Dead
October 15th, 2009 at 6:40 PM+1
I’m not supporting this country’s industry financially while its regulators are still so corrupt and evil.
Brutal Legend Review: Testing Its Metal
October 14th, 2009 at 10:33 PMSpent half the day playing this at a friend’s house.
It’s simply *amazing*. And that’s coming from someone who has no clue who most of the characters are based on, what the songs are, and generally doesn’t like metal.
The story is engaging, the characters are genuinely likable, the character animation is top notch A+ *fantastic*, the graphics are great, and the voice acting is awesome.
The gameplay is hard to describe. The general hack and slash gameplay is fun, quite original, and great visually. It does feel strange when they throw you into an RTS situation, but they introduce it slowly enough that you should get the hang of it. I died once or twice on easy, so this game’s going to be challenging if you try it on Brutally Hard. The fact that you always have control of the main character and play the RTS parts from the battlefield make it truly epic.
The frame rate is patchy in parts, but they’re usually over rather quickly.
Even if you’re not a metal fan, I seriously recommend this game.
Valve Ponies Up Cash For Oz Visit, Child's Play Gets Paid
October 2nd, 2009 at 4:41 PMWhile he’s here, he should kick up a stink about the R rating and Left 4 Dead 2. Hopefully he will, it just seems obvious.
AU Diary: Collector's Edition, Really?
September 29th, 2009 at 10:10 PMOne of the reasons I’m so into importing is because of the stupid rating logo.
Way to support the local economy, dirtbags.
Super Street Fighter IV Confirmed, Is Standalone Title
September 29th, 2009 at 2:26 PMI bet this is going to be ‘Not sold at full price’ kinda like how ODST was ‘”Not” a full price game…………………….’
Bobby Kotick Wanted To Take The Fun Out Of Making Video Games
September 15th, 2009 at 11:03 PMIt’s funny, it looks like an Onion article or some sort of parody of the man. But considering how much of a douche the man can be, and how much ho loves whoring and bleeding franchises dry, it doesn’t surprise me.
Still, there’s good to come of it. At last Guitar Hero gets released in my country. Unlike Rock Band.
50+ PC Games For $US5
September 15th, 2009 at 10:59 PMScrew you Direct2Drive. I was about to make an account and spend a shitton. Apparently my country isn’t worthy of giving you our money.
Even Hamrmonix finally released a game in Australia. Sheesh.

30FPS Vs 60FPS Is "Negligible" Says Need For Speed Dev
September 9th, 2009 at 9:27 PMThis won’t make a difference except on PC. Both consoles have hardware scalers and render the game at the same resolution regardless of your output.

September 9th, 2009 at 9:21 PMSo wait.. we have The Beatles a day before the US but still no Rock Band 2 at all? …Ever?

Blizzard "Looking Into" Aussie StarCraft II Servers
September 8th, 2009 at 2:31 PMWith no LAN there damn well better be, but considering there are no Australian hosted WoW servers, I’m going to call this one as a no.
Team Fortress 2 Non-cheaters Get Halos
September 3rd, 2009 at 12:57 PMUsing an external program is not cool, but this is still Valve’s fault for putting such a stupid unlocking system in in the first place. They let you unlock items while idling, OF COURSE people are going to idle.
The Beatles: Rock Band TV Spot Does Abbey Road Overload
August 30th, 2009 at 5:21 PMI’m glad they focused so much on the Abbey Road songs, seeing as they’re, you know, not included in the already overpriced purchase.
