While these AC2 costumes are probably the best looking costumes in the marketplace (what’s up with every costume being unisex anyway?), there really isn’t a need to spend 400 points on something.

This would make much more sense as a pre-order bonus.

I’ve met a couple of people who didn’t drink the Uncharted kool-aid, both specifically mentioned “repetitive combat”.

Having said that, didn’t we already have one reader review of this?

I take it this means Kotaku reader reviews of any game have a chance of being published? ie, not just the best review for that one game that is received.

Call of Duty 4 and Puzzle Quest.

I have to assume from the style that Crecente has just never played dota (the ‘original’) from reading this, but he’s given a fairly good overview of the idea in general.

What turns me off this particular dota clone is the worry that an overall ‘gamer level’ and micro transactions for items might unbalance the setup.

Good news for gamers is that between League of Legends, Heroes of Newearth and Demigod we are spoilt for choice at the moment.

Release date, wrong (again!).
Content of actual game you pre-ordered, wrong.

The only way this could get any worse is if they price suddenly also changed.

They have already released the game, why can’t they just flip the switch and give it to the people who have already bought it? Answer, they can.

If Australia really needs a separate-from-the-US Steam store, perhaps the only advantage will be that the ACCC can hold them responsible for screw ups.

The “Patriot”

Added very late in the development process at great expense, this gun shoots unicorns and non-copyright-infringing bear shaped creatures with love hearts on their bellies.

Upon impact, instead of blood or the much dreaded decapitation, enemies will spew rainbows from their unicorn-holes. Their bodies will disappear into a shower of sparkles and either a photo of kittens, babies or puppies will be left behind on the ground instead of a corpse.

The game will also now be rated E for everyone and each disc will be signed by Michael Atkinson.

I’m not sold on the ‘unfinished tech demo’ bit. Sure the game could have shuffled the missions so you had to do them one after the other, and written some filler as a story (collecting stars ala Mario 64?) although I feel this would have rubbed off some of the charm.

The controls are the major downfall.

Having said that, still feel this game is a must have for anyone with an iota of creativity.
