Using Trophies To Deliver Big Game
November 1st, 2009 at 12:33 PMUC2 is the best trophy game i have ever played. So many games are a grind (play 100 multiplayer matches for example) which is something that is a complete grind and couldnt be bothered doing.
UC2’s multiplayer trophies only require you to play 1 game, which is all it takes to get you addicted.

My first attempt at winning the “Sacred 2 on PS3″ competition failed miserably. I can still hear the high pitches cackle of the Kotaku staff after denying me the prize. “Curse you all”, i screamed, as i shook my fist in the air with vigour.
My second attempt will be better than the first, I promised myself. Filled with more “teh wittah” and “epic lolz” than all that have come before me. But what to write? How can i be witty and funny at the same time, when I have no writing skills? I sat and thought for what seemed like an eternity, coming up empty i gave up.
“But wait, I know what to do!” i said out aloud, hoping no one heard me talking to myself. I will simply appeal to the collective Kotaku Ego.
“Oh Beloved Kotaku Ego”, i said as i bent down on my knees. Grant me my one wish which only you can, to play Sacred 2 on my humble PS3. Allow me to bask in the glory of Sacred 2 and gain trophies to improve my PSN Level. Your magnificent-ness, please let me obtain this prize so i can praise you forever as the giver of entertainment! I beg of you, o Grand Master of everything that is good and great in this world, bestow upon me Sacred 2!
If not will you take this clown as a trade for a copy of Sacred 2 for PS3?

One thing that does annoy me about the game is the lack of environmental change from the 3 islands.
You can be excused from thinking they are all the same place. I think this is just a product of the world that the game is created in, but i think it could have done with a bit more variety (GTA4 style).
One other thing i noticed while on Aldens tower is that the game mechanic for grabbing onto stuff seems a bit broken. I would just fly straight through some objects while climing up it, and getting onto ladders can be a tad painful :(. Overall, however, the climing mechanic is implemented extremely well and never once have i wished i could get into the car and drive around.
Other than that i must say its a hell of alot of fun just going around kicking ass with powers. Some niggling little things but other than that its just good damn fun :)

Considering those who play tend to spend many hours playing. So the cost per hour of gaming is one of the best value around.
