It might look like a one-seat sofa capable of traversing almost any terrain on the planet, but this compact electric vehicle is actually designed to be a highly manoeuvrable and comfortable alternative to a traditional wheelchair. You won’t ever see it cruising down footpaths, but one day they might be crawling all over hospitals.
We were less than impressed with Archos’ last attempt to provide Android users with a hardware alternative to a touchscreen interface. Its Gen10 XS tablet packed a nifty keyboard/cover combo, but everything else was downhill from there. So maybe the company has learned from its mistakes and can deliver a solid handheld gaming experience with its just announced Android GamePad.
In what has to be one of the least requested hacks of all time, the folks over at Bureau Voor Gamers have managed to get games from Nintendo’s first attempt at 3D gaming, the Virtual Boy, to run on a modern 3D display.
Believe it or not, Frogger has been skipping his way across busy highways for 30 years now. And to celebrate his anniversary, Tyler DeAngelo created this updated version of the arcade classic that now has the frog dodging the realtime traffic on New York’s Fifth Avenue.
If I had to sum up my favourite things from my childhood, this would be it EXACTLY. Lego: the best kid’s toy — bar none. Soundwave: the awesomest and most imitated Decepticon. And Game Boy: the first handheld gaming system that didn’t suck. (I’m looking at you Tiger Electronics.)
