wow! That is pretty difficult to see if you don't know what to look for. I was thinking it was just junk on the ground trying to look like it was floating. Wich it is but with the intended purpose of a self portrait. Wasn't looking for it until I saw that little link.

But this is almost as bad as trying to see the pirate and girl pic. Takes forever!!!! but once you see it it's easy. At least it's not as bad as the stereoscopic "3d" pics. Talk about an eyesore.

That is awesome. It is very reminiscent of Salvidor Dali. This is what video games should be all about, doing something because you want to and creating something that questions the boundaries of production and consumption. The forge is a great idea and it is great to see the community using it in new and inventive ways. I never would have guessed that halo 3 would be a game to look to for innovation within the community. I am guilty of stereotyping on this one. Not everyone who plays halo is a homophobic frat nub. There I said it. Now the healing can begin.

Actually I saw the face pretty quickly. And I thought it was all just floating in mid-air, til I read the description and looked again. I'd say he succeeded pretty well there. Nifty trick.

@altgod: The warthog and Brute chopper are the eyes everything in the distance is the top of the head, radio tower is the jaw line, and it looks like a grav hammer on a cover for an ammo... pod that would be the bottom lip.

Just a good story about Forge. I have Halo 3, but haven't played around with forge until my 10 year old cousin loaded it up. We were just playing some 2 v 2 when out the corner of my eye I see my little cousin buying a tank down. I told him no shenanigans, but he kept doing buying random crap. I totally was owning my little cousin, but this was unfair to some other less experienced players taking part in the match. Then I realized anyone could buy weapons not just player 1. Then everyone just bought swords and needlers and flew around until we saw each other. Great fun by the way.

@compyadmin: I don't particularly like Halo. At all. But if anyone fails here, it's you. The bottom thing is the chin. Then above that are the lips, nose, eyes... Which you need a better pair of.

There's zero creativity in either Forge or Gmod, same as there is zero creativity in paint and canvas. The creativity comes from the users/artists. And an artist can create art out of absolutely anything.

I personally don't think this is all that "artful", but art is totally in the eye of the beholder. However, I expect we'll see many more (and better) examples of this sort of stuff as the tools become more accessible.
