The page Kotaku linked doesn't say Noire is "multiplatform" nor coming to PS3/Xbox 360. All it says is that the COMPANY Team Brodi develops for both platforms; which it does. There really isn't enough substance or evidence to say "Yes, of course" Noire is coming to the 360.

I'm skeptical. I mean a full size remake of 1940"s Los Angeles fitting on a DVD9? I seem to recall they were wanting to make this a free roaming game with no loading. It'd be hard to see all that fit since this isn't really the kind of game you can swap discs on.

Two things killed this game for me. 1) It's taking a billion years to come out or even show us actual playable footage, and 2) Mafia 2 was announced and I'm already a big fan of the first game.

Although at the end of the day I own both systems so I'll probably still give this one a shot in 2021 when it comes out.

Initially Sony was paying not for the exclusive, but were paying for some of Team Bondi's development costs. Unless there was a buy back then that means no 360 version.

Add this to the fact that what is a rumor, and I do mean a rumor not fact is the size of the game and that it will go well beyond the DVD9 structure.

Its most likely L.A Noire won't be coming onto the 360. Alot of people don't know this, but a long time ago, Rockstar asked Sony to break the exclusivity agreement for GTA4 (yes, believe it or not, GTA4 was suppose to be a PS3 exclusive) so that they can make it for the 360 as well. Jack Tretton agreed but in exchange, Rockstar had to make 1 or 2 other PS3 exclusives. So I am guessing those 1 or 2 titles is L.A Noire and that other unnamed project which was mentioned awhile back.

Awesome. I used to be a big Mickey Spillane fan back in the day. I can imagine being totally enveloped by the atmosphere and style of a Noir thriller. Though until now I was under the impression of this being PS3's big Rockstar exclusive. If that's not the case, then i'm a happy camper.

If you're talking third party, chances are pretty good its just a timed exclusive situation for the Sony beast. Exceptions do exist. I really doubt FF13 and Versus will make to 360.

I'm almost leaning that way with BioShock also, but you never know. Maybe it'll come out of nowhere to PS3.

LMAO, chalk up another exclusivity loss on PS3's part.Seems to me there's very little profit potential for game developers to develop for the PS3 outside of 2-3 guaranteed franchise superhits(namely MGS series and FF)without having to subsidize PS3 game development by the much larger profit margin,cheaper production cost, and shorter production times,better quality(3 out of 4 times)MUCH better sales of 360's versions of those games.

While the PS3 may be baskign in BluRay glory,did it really do the right thing in makign it's gaming half the shittier half of the two, for everyone from game developers to the gamers.Seems to me Sony wanted BluRay to win so bad, that it has likely cost it it's lead in the Video game wars permanently and since the PS3 supposably has a "10 year life cycle" it'll likely be left in the dust by susequent systems from MS and the first truely next gen Nintendo which we all know has been in development for some time now.In the longrun Sony is going to pay in spades for hedging all it's bets on 1 egg.Even if the egg turns out to be gold, by the time that's realized the competition is goign to have nests full made out of platinum.

If Sony is funding any or all of this project, expect the PS3 version to use the best part of a 25-50gb Blu-Ray for 1080p 60fps output and uncompressed audio, as well of using large chunks of HDD space to cut load times.

I don't doubt it'll come out on 360 - if it's any good I think it should - but there might be a few corners that need cutting along the way.

No doubt that the 360 is well ahead right now, but the PS3 still has a major Rockstar exclusive up its sleeve - and the lion's share of eagerly awaited titles in 2008 - and is more reliable - and is outselling the 360 week on week worldwide (vgchartz).

The biggest threat to MS is not PS3 users - it's the 70m or so PS2 users who have yet to decide which way to go. As things stand, Sony has a weaker line up, a weaker (but more reliable) online offering and a year's catching up to do, but is still outselling the 360 - and the "its all about the games" quote has an increasingly hollow ring to it these days.

MS can't afford to stand still on this. While DVD9s and costly HDD add-ons may be acceptable today, when this game goes gold the PS3 will be closer in terms of install base - and crucially, gamers expectations will be higher.

The solution? Blu-Ray integrated 360 with full BC, swappable HDDs and WiFi out of the box. I doubt it'll happen, but taking Sony on at their own game would keep existing users and give everyone else a choice - which has to be a good thing.

I remember this game when it first was annouced and Rockstar in a number of ways stated that they wanted to make (L.A Noire) a new franchise as big a GTA on the PS3.

But since then loads of things have changed the ps3 having a bad year with loads of multi-platform and even exculsive games delayed or even when the games were released on time they showed slowdown and errors which were mainly due to lazy Programmers. Also the user base has only 8 million users may also be a reason why they decided to pull the plug on a PS3 exculsive.But till the offical console(s) are annouced it still remains speculation.

BTW even thou i sounded like a Xbox fanboy i am afriad to inform you i am actually a so called PS3 Fanboy(Pround of it) and i akownledge the facts that may have made this game multi-platform.

PS: MGS4 is a PS3 Exculsive and is never going to be released on the 360. Mainly due to sony's backing since developement and the fact of the disk size being at least 2 times more than the biggest playable DVD on the 360. If that doesn't work then i'm just going to enjoy playing halo 3 next year on my PS3(Yes u heard right).
