Perpetual Responds to Kohnke Suit
Kohnke Communication's suit against Star Trek Online developer Perpetual Entertainment is "vague, uncertain, ambiguous and unintelligible" according to a recent filing made by the developer.
While lacking in the vitriol found in Kohnke's original claim, which claimed among other things that they were paid to deliver good reviews for now moth-balled MMO Gods & Heroes: Rome Rising, it does a pretty good job of denying everything without saying much at all.
Perpetual's response asks the judge to toss the original suit out and force Kohnke to pay for their attorneys' fees after outlining why none of Kohnke's 13 claims have any substance. So boring, I was hoping for more dirt on the whole delivering-review-scores-for-pay issue.

Brian,
I'm glad you wrote this to let us know that Perpetual responded to these accusations, and that it's "boring". Now, how about actually telling us HOW they responded?

That's "paid to deliver good PREVIEWS" - not reviews. Big difference. There's actually not much dirt there because they didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Every publisher in the world who spends any money on PR (direct marketing to media outlets) does it with the intention of getting a large volume of previews. Those previews can usually only consist of what the press has been spoon fed, so they're almost universally positive. Don't you know all this already, Crecente?
Google "Kohnke Responds" and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I have no idea what the issue is here, but of course it won't say much ... that's why we have an expensive discovery process, so we can actually find the things we're going to say a lot of things about.

I doubt this will be the last suit hitting P2. I still think that their trick of making a new company so they could transfer STO and then telling their investors to get bent is going to end with someone getting jail time.

How about Perpetual responds with something useful, like WHO THE NEW DEVELOPER OF STO WILL BE?!?!?!?!
