I don't really get the hate towards Pixeljunk racers, especially since it had a demo. I tried the demo. I didn't like it, so I didn't buy it. Then I moved on to other things. What's there to loathe if you haven't even spent any money on it? And how can you get burned if there's a demo available that clearly shows what the game mechanics are?

As for Super Stardust, I wasn't even aware that game was On the PSN before the Demo was released. Maybe that's why I missed it, I apologize *nod*.

I've been addicted to this game since it came out in Japan a month or so ago. The co-op is wonderfully done, and while it's a bit different than most Tower Defense games that I've played on the Net, it definately stands on its own. Best 900 yen I ever spent. ;)

I really like the look of this one, so I will be purchasing it. I passed on Pixeljunk Racers. I love Tower Defense games, and while I agree that there are some out there that are good in terms of gameplay *such as Onslaught*. I honestly wonder how the gameplay will be on Pixeljunk Monsters. The game looks great and from the trailer, it seems that it only showed the tip of the iceburg so to speak.

But where can I find a tower defense game that is well crafted and looks as nice? Well the answer would verily well be nowhere in terms of looking as nice.

As for the replayability of this game, that is what heavilly matters here imo. What additional features will the game have to keep people going back for another go. Endless Modes perhaps?

Though I too take issue with the pricing of some of these, I have to give Props to the PSN for some solid DL titles. I can't help but think how they could really open things up if they allowed for Flash games on PS.

I happen to like Tower Defense games, sorry you don't. Glad it's mine for $10 but that doesn't mean you can pop around here with such original commentary as if you are the mayors wife with the latest news on your personal preference of hair products.

If it's your preference, keep it to your preference. You want to make your opinion vocal? Damn well feel free. But make sure you keep your opinion in reference to yourself and not how someone else will receive it.

Damn shame I had to type this all out just to give you a proper explanation of it.

being able to play the game on your PSP should reduce the $10 pain somewhat... but on that note, I have a question. All of the PSone games you download to your PS3 can be played via remoteplay on your PSP - BUT - you can ALSO download these same games DIRECTLY to your PSP to play any time you want as if they were PSP games. Will the same be possible with PixelJunk Monsters? T'would be a good idea...

@Moonshadow101: Tower defense + mazing = stupid juggling.

Just look at desktop td. They just fixed the juggling by creating impossible flying things so you can't actually advance through some specific level. Without mazing there's no juggling and it's more about the tower building -> me like.

I'm gonna buy this one, co-op sounds really fun.

This game is so addictive. what makes it superior to the many free TD games is that it is co-op....level design is varied....game is very challenging.
