I played the MP Beta i didn't like it one bit....
i have seen millions of games like this one.And this isn't one of the best...
anyway like it or not, its a pc game, it won't sell on Xbox360 and it could have sold less on ps3 ...

Seeing an FPS (or even TPS) get canned is actually more of a relief than anything else. Particularly one that seemed as cookie-cutterish as this game...right down to its name.

I continue to be more distressed that Namco didn't see fit to bring Beautiful Katamari to the PlayStation 3. Hopefully Nobi Nobi Boy will make up for their earlier bandwagon shenanigans.

I've been playing the PC MP beta. While it is definitely rough it has the potential to be a great game. It addresses a lot of issues that BF2 has and its easy to pick up but surprisingly deep.

The biggest downside is I think those who enjoy this kind of game are getting burned out on the whole military tactical combined arms thing. Perhaps they should've done it in a cartoon style.....

The pc beta is pretty damn good. has the potential to do very well. The remote control helo/bombs are way too much fun. Nothing like hiding in a good spot and flying an RC copter around the map landing near unsuspecting players and BLAMMO!

@SlowDeath420: I happen to like bf2142 and for those playing BF2 and giving it a chance they usually like the way it has been changed, and the classes and balancing is very tight. Also the furturistic element isn't cartoony like Quakewars or UT, it is one of those rare multiplayer games that actually respects me as an adult. There's no spaceships or laser guns here ad no macho voice taunts. The walker feels much more realistic than the one in quakewars and is more useful (in my opinion)

I really like the backstory for the game. It's pretty cool actually and the demo wasn't terrible to be honest. I'm gonna give it a rent when I get the time. It was much better than the Dark Messiah of Might & Magic demo, I thought that was terrible but it had some promise so I'll give it a rent later too. Today seems to be delay day though, seriously, delay week actually since in the last week we've had this, Haze, Brawl, and Battlefield Bad Company all delayed in the past week. Something else too but I can't remember right now.

Who cares,who wants to play battlefield...2042 anyway.BF 2142 was boring and the sci fi setting just didn't work for the fans as they showed with they're wallets.So imho i don't see what would make them think that another futuristic bfesque game is what we want.Especially in the AAA shooter loaded year we have this year.Of course i might just be biased being in the beta and having the knowledge of just how average it is :)

Whether these games are fantastic or so-so, it really bothers me that so many seem to be delayed or disappear. I really would like to see for myself if the game suck or not. All I have is a gaming PC and a PS3, and this type of thing along with the praise of super duper games before they came out just bothered me. Especially after most of the uber games were midland to shit. Just release the games already.

@crimsonangel: Resistance is a very good game, its true. But dont say it will "kill" halo. No it wont, halo is a very good game that enjoy a lot. Resistance is also a great game, that i rank right up their with halo. I own both systems (thats why i dont have the bias you do)

Also, just for kicks, lets say Resistance 2 is better than halo 3. Being better does not constitute as "killing" another series. But anyways, i like them both, and its really just an opinion of which one is really better. Always remember that.

I hate seeing consoles loose exclusives I always suspected this type of game would be a hard sell on the PS3's platform which is really sad since they have the peripherals to get the PC controls. I've stated it before but I have a feeling many RTS type games may go this way. It's probably less of hardware or performance limit and more of the performance of sales and perhaps the attach rate. What ever the problem may be... I'm just not expecting not to see too many RTSs on the PS3. I kind of feel the same way about 360 when it comes to platformers. It's a shame because I really love platformers and wold love to see more of them but a stigma is something that hard to shake of.

I tried the demo for this on the 360, and it was nothing special, at all. It had an interesting storyline, but the gameplay just felt cheap, like there was little thought behind it. It was kinda like GRAW minus the tight gameplay and fun.

I was honestly drawn to the graphics they had going on in the game. All the toy robot things handle like a saggy va jay jays except the helicopter. It was a pretty good demo, but I felt like I was playing some retro battlefield mod, without the massiveness of it all. Probably get this when it's in the bargain bin, I think it'll be at least a worthwhile experience.

I'm one of the few, I guess, that liked the demo a lot. Driving the little demo-cars under tanks was a high point. I also liked the semi-freedom given to take areas in the order you choose (similar to MOH: Airborne).

Actually, I played the demo and liked it a lot. At least on my CRT HDTV, the graphics were outstanding, with a wide and varied range of weapons, including some interesting robots. It seemed to have a decent story behind it, and I thought captured the mood of the setting while also supplying - of all things - a decent and varied color palette.

I'm actually surprised any THQ games make it out the door. They cancel half of what they make and most of what comes out is Play Dough to begin with. Poor Frontlines you could have been a contender.
