I wonder how many achievement whores are over 25... I'm guessing not many. I think at a certain age "real life achievements" make virtual ones seem pretty silly. You play a game because its fun you don't have time to play one for virtual epeen.

Achievements have made me do some desperate things for the glorious 1.000GS per game.

I had to beat BioShock three times to get 1k, but there's that Brass Brails achievement that's calling my name. Has anyone gotten it yet?

A March release would put this in the same timeframe as GTA IV. Rockstar is kinda "shooting themselves in the foot" or, more in tune, "giving themselves a wedgie".

I just don't get it. If you are buying the Wii version after playing the PS2 version then you are playing the PS2 version. Truth is I don't have enough faith in a port to think that they will make a control scheme designed around the Wiimote will be good; especially for a game designed on a different platform. I'd opt for the graphics upgrade rather than a dicey control scheme.

Nice to see this game coming out, anyone who have not played it NEEDS to get it. I think it is better then GTA, maybe best rockstar game and hopefully it will sell well. Cause I would love it if this game could get a sequel :)

BTW, I think the european name was better "Canis Canem Edit". The soundtrack for the game is also great.

For anyone who didn't get a shot at playing this on the ps2, buy it post haste. Seriously good game. Engaging story, lots of exploration, and great voice acting.

I'm not picking it up till the price drops Rock Star charging full retail price on the game when the PS2 version just hit Greatest Hits status. I was expecting more of a graphical update with the 360 version, hopefully it has a smooth frame rate.

Ripping on achievements is pointless, who cares what people do with their video games. There is nothing wrong with playing a game and having the progress of what you did in the game recorded. Achievements are there to help get you the most out of your $60 investment. Anyone who thinks that is dumb is a nitwit. You don't need to be addicted to them but there is nothing wrong with collecting them as you play through your games. Anyone who says the worst thing about the 360 is achievements is a stupid, stupid "gamer" for real.

I enjoy achievements greatly. They actually affect the way I play. In Mass Effect, I stopped using the shotgun for awhile until I unlocked some biotic achievements.

@legacyed: I never expected gta4 to come, I still think we get it in October-November. But who knows, maybe they get desperate, bleeding too much cash and make it sooner, even same date as this and don't care.
