Then again the PS2 had several good ones as well, but very few had the whimsical feel of a sprite rpg. I just bought Odin Sphere two days ago, I'm looking forward to beating Ico/SotC, and kicking my CoD4 habit so I can start devoting some time to it.

I think Brawl has been delayed about 3 times. It was originally planned to be a launch title but was pushed back to Dec. 3 and then to Feb. 10 and now March 9.

Well, this is probably good news for No More Heroes and European gamers... now they won't feel completely left out that they weren't the only ones screwed by Nintendo.

chill chill chill folks. I'm not a long time nintendo supporter, I went from SNES until Wii without a nintendo console (I know, right?) but still, its 1 month, its not going to hurt you. Its not anything coding related, its production issues or a technical glitch was fixed and they have to remanufacture discs. We'll all survive. At least Nintendo isn't valve, they miss release dates by 3 months, valve misses release dates by 3 years.

Every console has had delayed games this generation. A game released on time is the exception these days. But I expect game delays to be the norm for the first year (or two) of any consoles life.

What I don't expect (and vehemently hate) is delays for PAL games due to localisation that isn't required for the UK, Australia and NZ.

Nintendo should take the time to fix their dam friend codes. If you're going to have friend codes, then just use the ones we typed in to our Wii. I don't want to re-type separate 16 digit friend codes for the same friends I have on my Wii address book for the game as well.

On Another note, did Nintendo have a team smash option where you can do 2v2 online? It'd be nice to be able to team up with a friend code friend online and play other people.

There are two bright sides for me.

1, I get to play devil may cry 4 a lot more until brawl is released.
2, I will be in school 6-7 days a week for the next 10 weeks for Intermediate Recording, so even devil may cry will have a difficult time being played, let alone SSBB.

On the down side, it was delayed again. For christ sake. I would be more upset but I know its still going to be the best game of 2008.

What will become of the Smash Bros Dojo? I don't think I can take more weeks of "Today's update is about the 'B' button! I think it's awesome because it fits to the concave of your finger!" Let's just shut the Dojo down.

So far, every major first-party game has been delayed more than once. At this rate, Mario Kart will be the next victim.

On the bright side, Brawl will have enough replay value to last a very long time so it won't be like 2007 where we basically had to wait until August to give the first big Nintendo title (Metroid Prime 3).I'm sure we can expect another game drought, but with Brawl coming out, it will make it easier to handle.

Still, European gamers should be the ones complaining. Nintendo screws them over every time.

After 2 delays I really doubt this game will be out in March. Im sorry to say that but I done lost my faith in Nintendo and Sakurai. The only reason is because it isnt fair that Japan gets delayed a week and the US gets delayed a month. Theres gotta be a good reason but sayin were polishing it to be better is a lie to me. Cause the game is only delayed a week in Japan. I give up waiting for this game.

@Helterran: NO. Do not accept that EVER. My biggest beef with PCs, PS3s and 360s is the fact that because there's a way to update already released content, devs can release unfinished code and simply sweep it under the carpet with a patch.
At least in the good old days if someone screwed up their code it was screwed up for good, giving a reason to finish the game before release.
I'm not prone to passion but if someone can't bother to release a good game right out of the box then FUCK THEM.
Addendum: extra content is cool and all and I accept DLC is becoming a fact of life, but man, someone shove standards up these people's asses.

@Hiltz: Brawl was original planned to be a launch title for the SNES, in 1991. It's been delayed for 17 years now. They did manage to pump out a couple prequels in that time though. But really, I only bought Mario World to tide me over till Brawl.

Uh, it's funny as a joke, but do you guys honestly think blogging is the reason this has all slowed down? Typing a few blurbs and taking a few screenshots every day? They have PR and website folk who do that. They don't need to bother the programmers, directors, producers, etc.

The real reason this is getting yet another push-back is very obviously the online function. This is Nintendo's first big online venture, and they want it to be as good as possible, and on a game focused around timing as much as Smash Bros. is, a bit of lag can make a BIG difference.
