If any of Rockstar's IP is cut-out to be a feature film, it's Bully. That would be great. I LOVE all of the GTA games, but the stories are so reliant on references to films within the same genre that any GTA film that was true to the IP would be quickly slammed as a knock-off.

Actually, eminem did a pretty good job with 8-mile so not all that bad of a choice. But a GTA movie would suck, I would not even know what would be different about it compared to gangster movies. Would it be like the Godfather mixed with Gone in 60 seconds or something.

Eminem seem like a weird choice for any GTA film being:
1) He's not mute (GTA1-3)
2) He don't fit in the 80's (GTA:VC).
3) He's not black (GTA:SA). Okay he's got the sound as GTA:SA went a little too "gangsta'" at some points but still.

Unless GTA:Movie was going to be a new thing. He still doesn't seem to fit the flow of the series.

Then again, Hollywood can bugger up anything.

I would normally say Thank God this didn't happen, but the more I think about it, I would've GLADLY payed the cost of movie tickets if the movie concluded with a death scene showing Eminem getting shot about 300 times, someone shoving a grenade down his throat, and then some other character in the movie coming along to piss on his ashes.

Actually, I'd pay double theater admission for that scene.

I think if they ever wanna put GTA on TV, it should be in episodes. Not a movie, the game's typical storyline is too big to fit in a 3-hour movie. If it could be like Steven Spielberg's Taken, not in it's style, but in the face that it is an 8-episode series, it would rock. And actually making it in computer animations, it would really rock, in the GTA cutscene style.

Just imagine it. A long 1-hour GTA cutscene with lots of action!
