Pick up the latest issue of PLAY if you actually want to get a sense of what's going on in and with the title.

I quite enjoyed the Afro Samurai saga; though a friend of mine found it bland, full of one dimensional character (except for Afro Droid for some arbitrary reason, but what ever). It had a kick ass soundtrack and tremendous style. It left me wanting more...

...that being said, I certainly don't want to play a bland action adventure license milking with a kick ass soundtrack and repetitive action, with apparently some ninja aspect for some arbitrary reason, but ok I'll roll with it for now.

The first trailer I saw was exciting, leaving me wanting more, but the vain of Afro Samurai seems to metaphorically deep, I might be scraping the barrel for some, to shuffle to the masses and die hards as a Slice and Dice.

That being said, sure, I'll be following this, but like many games I've been excited for, there will be that resounding grief towards the content that I can only hope makes a u-turn, in the vain of the general average quality a hyped game has, compared to the Over-Hyped expectation.

I'm sorry but even though the game looks beautiful, I couldn't play it. I love the anime and a large part of Afro Samurai is the ridiculous fights with ridiculous amounts of blood. Maybe its just the trailer, but it doesn't look like the game delivers.

But I'm offtopic. I'd buy an Afro Samurai game in a heartbeat. I loved the anime twice over. The plot was kept simple, there were ninjas, Rocket Launchers, and Samuel L Jacksons. I normally hate dubs, but Sam L made everyhing awwwwwright.

The latest issue of PLAY has a huge article on this game. It sounds like it will be absolutely fantastic...at least on paper. Still, I can't help but be extremely excited about this title.

The graphics look absolutely gorgeous, and if the soundtrack is at all reminiscent of the RZA's work on Ghost Dog then this title will probably be in the upper echelon of audio-visual efforts this year.
