Civ on DS sounds pretty awesome. True, those sprites are pretty awful, but I think they'll serve their purpose.

The combination of streamlining and cute-ification may be too much for Civilization. If this game lacks features that were in the original (1991) PC game, heads should roll.

Curious. I might have to follow this one more closely. If the gameplay comes out good, I can forgive some of the current visuals, which don't quite feel right to me for some reason.

I'm not liking the art-style too much. But I don't mind the Advance Wars-style battle graphics.

Personally, I would have preferred the graphics to be an updated version of the Civ or Civ II style. That should have worked OK with the resolution of the DS screen.

Bottom screen reminds me of Civ 2, which is great. Hopefully it, and the console version, will be worthy of the Civilization name.

Mainly, I want to be able to play at home and on my DS at work. I have Civ 4 on my laptop for when I get a few minutes at work, but the DS would really be more convenient.

The game looks like it'll be fun, using a touch interface is something I've been looking forward to since trying to play Civ on my PC with a wacom tablet (clunky, but usable). I'm not to crazy about the art style too, but then again, Civ games aren't really known for their artistic quality.

First of all people, its spelled Gandhi not Ghandi of Gahndi. Secondly, he was not a pedophile. Gandhi jokes are one thing, but lets not go too far and insult a pretty great man and the father of his nation. He sacrificed his family for his cause, so yes, his relationship with his wife and kids was very messed up, but he did it for a noble cause. And a lot of people in India got married at a very young age in those days. Its not pedophilia.
