Secondly, ahhhh the life of otaku; over 350 youtube videos of anime, Need for Speed challenges, video footage of one of those TRAIN games (played, no doubt, with actual train-esque joystick controller), and to cap it off... yes... actual footage of said trains in 'real-life' leaving and arriving in stations. And then he tops it all off with an incredible MGS video. Just... there is a word for it, but i'm unaware of... it.

I'm the type that could never, EVER think of doing any of these crazy things. I always see enemies as enemies and not as play toys. This guy practically knows everything in MGS3 for all the baddie locations, the exact time they wake up from being tranqed, all the food locations, man, I really should pick up this game again and give it another go, on normal mode (yes, I SUCK at MG games).

@Evil Jim: They didn't react when shot because they were being shot with a tranquilizer dart rather than an actual bullet. A lot of the time, the enemies don't notice. Obviously if you shoot them with an actual gun, they are going to do something about it. If the enemies are in Caution mode, they will be more aware of when they are hit with tranquilizer darts. It will also take longer for the darts to make them actually collapse. Also, stealth mode makes you invisible to the enemy. Even if you personally can see the green outline and naughty magazine walking around.

You should definitely pick a Metal Gear up sometime. ;]

Wait for the box set! 3 AWESOME games for $30? Hell yes.

Well, there were the enemies that didn't react to the character on screen. They didn't react when shot. They were easily distracted by ridiculous means. Unless the player futzed with the settings or was playing on a very low difficulty it just doesn't make sense. HOWEVER, the photographs & setups were still very entertaining.

@baked ham: Whoa, how have you played MGS and not gotten the stealth? You get it for subsequent playthroughs by fulfilling certain conditions in each game. In MGS, you have to get the Otacon ending. In MGS2, there's a certain number of dogtags to get. In MGS3, you either have to find all the frogs or get through the game without being spotted. And then it's funtime with the guards.

@jackal888: Hoho yeah, I know. The only one of these I ever thought of is the door kick one. Never actually took a picture of it though. And he timed it WAAAAY better than I did, because the guard gets his face kicked in right about when he starts to relax. It was just perfect.

Aside from that, one of the files I played was using only the knife and smoke grenades. I took about 30 pictures all consisting of the same thing: People dying from getting zapped by the electric fences. I just could not get enough of it. XD

Grab a guard from behind (hold circle with a cqc type weapon), scoot over towards your nearest electrical fence (preferably one thats still generating electricity), get VERY close but not too close to it. Make sure Snake is facing towards the fence. Press circle and the analog stick in the direction Snake is facing at the same time (the move where he pushes an enemy onto the floor in order to stick em' up afterwards). Voila. Never gets old.

And if you think theres something wrong with me for enjoying watching people get electrocuted to death, well you might be on to something here.

I shot all but ONE of them, and it wasn't even a hard one to find. It was in that area near the end of the game (that you visit twice) With Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, and Southeast sections. I missed the one in Northwest or something. But I seriously got every single other one. The ones on the car chases were just hilarious. You have the Shagohod on your tail, you have all these people on motorbikes shooting their AKs at you, meanwhile you're busy trying to shoot a toy frog on top of a signpost using a sniper rifle while traveling on the 2nd seat of a motorcycle. Epic. Eventually I got pissed off and tried using the rocket launcher to hit the frog on the signpost instead. (it worked)

I ended up beating the game without getting caught once, which was MUCH, MUCH easier than trying to get all the kerotans. Although I must say the kerotan route just plain feels more rewarding.

Hmm...they should put quirky downloadable VR missions for MGS4. After all, this is supposed to be THE LAST MGS. No Substancy game I suppose. So downloadable VR is a must. I miss me some Substance.
