Peggle...For The DS!
Posted by Luke Plunkett at 12:20 AM on February 8, 2008
Yes, Peggle is coming for the DS. Don't act so surprised. John Vechey, co-founder of Peggle devs PopCap, announced the title at the Casual Connect conference, which is being held in Amsterdam. That should be all you need to know! Peggle, for the DS. If you're wondering about a release date or price, sorry, they don't have that yet. If you're wondering what all the fuss is about, consider that Peggle on the PC has now been downloaded over 10 million times.

Is that the game full of insincerely cute animals and the necessity to own a degree from the University of Smart-Ass to accurately calculate the direction of the ball?

@bigman88zz: I was in the same boat as you. Till Yahtzees video made me enticed enough to try it only to find out he was horribly right about the game.
Many hours were wasted that night, MANY.

Civilization AND Peggle on my DS????
Suppose I should just go ahead and surgically implant the thing in my wrist...it'll make things that much easier down the line!

Isn't Peggle available for iPod too?

I think peggle is a great fit on the ipod (never played the pc version). On DS I'd have to wonder about the split screen. Are we going to have a Contra 4 type experience wehere the "dead space" between screens exists, or doesn't exist? One screen seems kind of weak on the ds.

If that game is random, then I am the duel king of multiplayer random, because I school people at it.
You just have to use chaos theory.

I really like Peggle, but it seems a little light even for a DS game. I'd prefer to see them bundle it with a few of their other games (*cough* bejeweled) and at least make an offering with some decent play-thru time.

@JRock: How is it random if it's based on physics? Your brain deals with physics on a daily and millisecond basis. How can you *not* get this game?

hmmm, I tried this game for the first time the other night and while it was fun it seemed a long way from something like Puzzle Crack. What was I missing? Is the full version much better?

Speaking of Disgaea, has anybody played the new one yet? How is it? Not that Famitsu's review staff are entirely credible or anything, but I'd be interested to know what they've given it, too...

This will prove to be as bad for me as Disgaea for the PSP. What life?

I likes me some peggle extreme. That's all I've ever played. I didn't even know it existed until one day I logged onto steam and there was a big picture of a unicorn w/ a headcrab....
