I literally just said "Oh Hell Yeah", somewhat quietly, about 8 times after seeing this post.

The only question is not if I will own this, but indeed how many I will own, logic would suggest only 2 (since I have 2 Zappers already) but logic so rarely enters into these types of decisions.

Also, I still want to do/see a Longshot Zapper Mod, I know somebody said they were doing a Maverick but there would be nothing like the Longshot (or the Recon CS-6, a much lighter but also nice gun) for that assault rifle/sniper feel in Zapper games...

Did you forget that there has to be a hole in the front for the dart to exit? Sure, it won't be fully exposed like it probably should be, but that should just mean that it has a more limited angle (that's okay, though, since you need to be pointing it at the screen to actually shoot at anyone you can see).

Should work fine. It has a pull-back plunger, so that part is entirely self-contained. The release mechanism shouldn't be anything more complicated than a lever that's located where the Wiimote trigger would sit.

Wondering how the actual Nerf part works, though; the full removability of the firing mechanism looks like it will make modding it quite easy (assuming it doesn't fully compromise the quality of the chamber).

@gtc: Nah HotD2&3's confirmed, there's a trailer for it on IGN... I just wonder if they'll use the 'point offscreen' reload method instead of the 'aim offscreen *and* fire' method in HotD2.

Though it'll be nice to play HotD3 with a working gun for a change.

Those N-strike guns are so sweet. Picked up the recon, looks like a law giver pistol, but it has atachable sotck, barrel, laser sight, and rifle sight that makes it a sweet ass sweet tactical rifle.

Also, from the photos, can anyone tell if the 2 dart holder below the barrel is a modular detachable piece like other N-strike pieces?

@gtc: Well I don't know whether or not I use a "normal" foot position, but I use the positions they tell you to in the tutorials in the game.

My pedal hasn't broken, because I don't use a normal drumming foot position in order to reduce wear on it. The problem I have is that the pads just plain can not keep up with the playing required for expert play.

As for that Nerf gun . . . it's reminiscent of the House of the Dead arcade guns, and I suspect would be excellent to use for the upcoming (rumored? I forgot) HotD2+3 game for Wii.

Wow NERF really got creative with this one! I miss playing with NERF guns, my favorite was the Secret Shot, where you could shoot a sticky-dart from below the gun's hand-grip. Smooth.

The warranty isn't a problem. The problem is, if you play drums on expert, I can't see any way around having your drum pedal break. It's pretty much inevitable. (Play on Expert for 40-50 hours and your pedal will be broken, I can guarantee it.)

Sure, I (eventually, after about 2 months) got a new pedal, but it's the same as the old pedal. So...it'll break again.
