The gameplay itself looks a little unpolished, but the trailer put me on the edge of my seat. I love the switching between standard gunplay and using your blade to dismember people. Assuming this gets a decent review, this is a day one purchase for me.

I've been waiting for something like gears that looks like it's not as clichéd in terms of story and characters, and this might just be that game.
plus, the voice acting and the sequences look awesome.

@Krytha: i seen a beta version of it running is over the shoulder RE4 style shooting he can take cover and mantle like in Gears of War. You will be able to buy weapon upgrades as well through the game.

People have been giving this game shit because it plays like RE, but this style works well for the genre. Thats like saying Sonic plays too much like Mario.

This actually looks cool. Wonder if the PS3 version uses Sixaxis for the glaive, a la Heavenly Sword's Kai arrows? Would be sweet.

I think it has potential. I am glad to see heavy influence from RE4 as it was my fav game from the last generation. Nothing wrong there. I don't see to much Gears in this other than the go into cover mode which is not a Gears game play invention. It is actually RE4 that gave us the Gears over the shoulder look. I love it because it feels like a FPS but you get to see your character too.

I have had my eye on this game for a while now. I've liked what I have seen since day 1. I love that they went old school with the tribute to the Guyvers anime. Unless this gets some pretty horrible reviews, I'll be picking it up.

Everyone seems to have an omigod this is so last year outlook on this game. I'm calling shenanigans. If people were really so disgusted by things seeming outdated, then no one would touch any of their consoles from before this generation cycle.

Wow, this just went from "i don't care" to "wow, I might buy this." But I thought the game didn't have multiplayer. If it does have multiplayer the deal just got a lot sweeter.

Very pretty, but I have a feeling that it'll get old fast. Any game where the developers consistently say that ONE weapon your character has (the glaive) is a major selling point isn't going to be original, and it doesnt look especially fun to me

I fear the cutscene kills (or whatever you want to call them) will end up as unspectacular during gameplay as the ones in Turok. If they're not interactive and just require a button press, it's bland and boring.

Oh, how did they fare with the cut down multi on the PS3 by the way? Still remains true?

Devil's Advocate hit the nail on the head. This game looks and feels like a big budget version of the Guyver movies. That's not necessarily a bad thing.

What happened to this game! I remember seeing the first trailer back in 2005 when it was a stealth sci-fi game. It reminded me a lot of Metal Gear Solid or Splinter Cell but in a space ship, it was so cool!

Now it just looks like every other game out there but with a boomerang. Oh boy! I'll have to wait to hear something convincing about this before plopping down 60 large(fingers crossed).
