First of, he like Melee, it was on the GCN, so why did he rant about hating how Brawl felt like a GCN game and how it was tailored for the GCN controller?

He didn't like the stage design of the 40+ battlefields? Then build your own with the stage Editor.

He hated online... well the lag is a passing issue that does occur from time to time, first time I went on with a friend, the lag was so static and predictable, I was about to get the first smash KO on my friend:) after that, with anyone and with friends yielded nearly lag free gaming and a drop in my success rate. Plus, this being Nintendo's most robust online game, I think they deserve the credit.

Didn't like the Subspace Emissary? Well, I don't intend to play through the whole thing anytime soon. It is quite random. But to his "6 hour gameplay, yawwwn", I say to him, and any other trying to make that point to wait out the time period your scolding at. Just sit in a chair, no mags, books, DSs or anything. Just sit there in your little shame box thinking of how you could have been spending this time to cure cancer or become an Idol... yeah.....

Motion Control isn't for EVERTHING! That's what Brawl was essentially marketed as. A staple in he argument that the Wii isn't just for gimmicks and rare jems (a la Jack and Wiki), but a hotbox for the causal and hardcore to sit down and play a variety of games.

Ah, the "One new Move", a special move...uh-huh. umm, what about air dodging, gliding? (is it new?) plus all the new techniques the Smash community is testing?

While I'm eight paragraphs in this opinion, and some facts, filled rant (I've been know to only give rants online and in "volumes and pages") just know that there's a guy with a Wii who immensely enjoyed Brawl for what it is, I might even continue playing it in between the pile of Classic Games I've been meaning to play (Metroid **Thumbs**, MGS2! Indigo Prophecy) + to prepare for the eventually gathering my friends will hold in celebration of Brawl.
