If you've been buggin' for a new action adventure game, it may be time to check out Insecticide for PC and DS. The game takes you on an adventure through the seedy underworld of insect culture, playing an insect cop and her partner, solving crimes as only insects can. I suggest developing compound eyes for taking in all the vids, art, and screens of the game, after the jump.

Is there any connection to Psychonauts? Because that's what I'm reminded of.

If this game is careful, and executes a concept and gameplay well, it could be as good as BG&E.

The art is a bit murky for my liking. It kind of feels like they weren't entirely sure what style they wanted to go with and wound up with a bit of a mishmash of different ones. The design looks pretty nice for the most part, its just a bit of a pity it didn't quite coalesce entirely.
Never mind though, I'm not one to trun down a good story just because of slightly inconsistant art direction.

The story seems promising. the combat, not so much. But if the story is still great, i'd be willing to work through the "eh" combat. It sure looks interesting though

Y'know, reminds me a little bit of Beyond Good and Evil, just in terms of look and feel. It'd be a shame if that's where the similarities ended, though. I'm hoping it's got a good story to back it up, but I'm not getting a good feeling from the trailers. It looks like the writing went as far as the concept and character names, and then the writers got traded in for somebody's cousin.

just got off the bus where i was playing it.
If you prefer style over substance, this game's got the goods for you.
Interesting character designs, especially the hominids and the menacing bees in corporate sharkskins.
The combat I've seen is playable, but overly simplified.
Also, in a game set in a city filled with mutant bugs, you would think the player character would have some terrific insect powers. Nope.
I think the cock in Gamecock now stands for cocking up good ideas with poor execution.

Looks interesting, kind of generic though.
