Launch Parties From Coast to Coast
Posted by Flynn De Marco at 4:00 AM on March 26, 2008
Tomorrow (Wed.) will see the Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword launch party at the Nintendo World Store in New York City from 2pm - 6pm. The game's producer and director Yosuke Hayashi will be on hand to sign autographs and met and greet the crowd. If you purchase the game there you will be granted one of those nifty Dragon Sword Ninja styli. There will also be demo stations set up around the store so you can try before you buy.
Also, as I reported last week, tonight is the launch party for Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII at the Sony Metreon Centre in San Francisco. The event goes from 6pm - 9pm and space is limited to 200 people.
And if that's not enough for you, our own Crecente will be attending and telling you all about his adventures at the Tecmo event in New York. Launch events, ho!

This is what I get for not F5ing all day. By the time I read this article and posted this comment, the Ninja Gaiden party was OVER.
What REALLY kills me, is that my girlfriend works for Delta and can fly anywhere, anytime, for free. I also have a MAD urge to get this game, and plenty of money for the taxi fair. X_X
To ebay, I suppose.

Damn, I have work, otherwise I would think about going to the Ninja Gaiden thing. Although, I could use the excuse that I'm doing it for my writing job. Bah. I'll be covering the COD4 DLC event at the NYC Gamestop on Friday anyway.

@The Great Aussie Evil: So you would rather just re-live old success and not see new content. I mean, you could more clearly understand the whole story or simply see the same crap over and over again.

Final Fantasy party I can see, but party for NGDS? Not exactly the most high profile title....

@The Great Aussie Evil: Crisis core is good. If it was a game by itself before I even knew about FFVII, I would have loved it more. But my mind kept saying PS3 remake...

San Francisco is too far away... How come nothing major game related that's open to the public is ever in Los Angeles...
New York is even further... lucky.

gah I really want to go and try and secure a spot in the elusive 100, but parking costs next to the metreon is gonna kill me if I go early (5 to 6 hours is already $18). Hell, there are probably some poor saps waiting in line right now...
that and I have no one else to go with = extreme boredom : (

@The Great Aussie Evil: Why not just play the original again? if you want a remake so bad?

You had me at "Dragon Sword Ninja styli"! I wonder if they would comment on that stabbing incident in Japan that was allegedly caused by Ninja Gaiden game according to the news media there.
