I hope this one has vehicles with rollcages that don't violently explode when tipped upside down considering most vehicles have a physics model like a ball...

I guess I'd be excited if I actually totally loved the 1st one.....which i did not. But it is good in spurts.

i think its got to be a little easier too. i mean, the first few levels weren't bad, but later on, it just got so hard that i put it down and never picked it up again. i don't really like doing the same 5 minute race over and over and over and over and over.

I know devs like Epic think gamers don't use it anymore, but trust me... Many of us do...

Custom soundtracks or no deal. The music in the first game is absolutely wretched and I would have played it a hell of a lot longer if I didn't have to listen to it. :(

@John-irl: Well, the first one lacked things that could have made it better like multiplayer. It was a good game, but not good enough for me.

Playing the first one right now. It's fun but I couldn't justify buying it until it got down to $30 b/c so few courses were included. Hopefully the new one will have a lot more so I can buy it when it comes out. Maybe the vehicle models will be more detailed too.

Select ticket, (tick tick tick tick) select vehicle (tick tick tick tick) change mind and look at another vehicle (tick tick nuts to this going to go make a sammich). Start race, lose horribly, retry race (tick tick tick he came from college just the other day, so much a man I just had to say...)

Seiously. Best off-road racing game in a long time. I know people hated it for it's lack of features, but it really was excellent in terms of gameplay. And now, the second one, seems like it's going to top everything else.

@sascha23: Oh I think I understand what happened. Back when I got the first Playstation I started reading a mag called OPM that was published by Ziff Davis, all the way up until halfway through the PS2's life cycle. A while after I stopped reading I read that it was being shutdown because Ziff was running out of money. PSM was always there main competition and they must have taken there name when the original OPM was canned.

@liquid_kore: No. OPM was re-launched 5 months back. It was previously called PSM and then joined with Sony to become OPM with new format and design.

I subscribe to it and I gotta tell you, it's a superb publication. A far cry from the drab PSM magazines.
