I still don't have my damn disc yet! I carefully followed all the directions and mailed my disc back on February 15, and I still don't have it. Numerous calls to ActiVision have been worthless; they aren't even sure if they've received my disc yet. Supposedly a "finance manager" or somesuch is going to call me today or tomorrow about it (ha ha). The website still says that they mailed out the return mailer on February 12, and that was the last update.

There's recently been some rumor of a free faceplate with the remastered disc. Unfortunately this is merely a rumor. The remastastered disc is the only item included in the replacement package.

When my friend used to have GH3 for Wii, his also locked up once in a while. I wasn't sure if it was because of overheating, a bad disk, or anything to do with too much play. I know for a fact though (I witnessed it myself) that it does freeze from time to time.

My biggest problem with GH3 for the Wii has been consistent lockups. At least every other play session ends with a hard freeze after completing a song, and the only way to fix it is restarting the Wii.

Only last year's Madden did the same thing on my machine, and that only happened once in a blue moon. Anyone else having lockup issues?

I sent mine back for a refund weeks ago (paid $97 + $22 shipping = $13 profit after refund).
When I get the refund check, I am putting it toward the ps3 version and an extra guitar.

I've come to this conclusion:
Harmonix isn't getting Rock Band out fast enough for Wii.
There is no downloadable content any time soon it seems for any Wii games.
Guitar Hero is offering a refund.

I bought 360, bought RockBand, and I plan to refund my GH3 for Wii over the summer.

That makes me in the hole 30 bucks plus a 360, but now I have a much better game riding much more solid graphics.

I'm happy.

@benthic: I'm curious about that too. I have the paperwork all ready to go but have just been lazy, and waiting to hear how the replacements are working. (and honestly, I didn't realize people were already getting them!)

Too bad they didn't put a little door or snap in plastic cover for the wiimote. Still a nice freebie. Doesn't really make up for the mono and having to send your disc in before you get the replacement, denying you of a couple weeks worth of playing. Me thinks some free songs would suffice. Oh wait...it's the Wii.
