Sony Employee Gets PS3-Themed Tattoo
Posted by Brian Ashcraft at 8:00 PM on March 11, 2008
Another PS3 tattoo! Not as crappy! Still kooky! While man who goes by the handle MobileTone may be the first person with P53 PS3 inked on his bodice, that doesn't mean he's got the first PLAYSTATION 3-themed tat. It seems that SCEE Omar Siu claims that prize (lucky him) with his "This is Living" shoulder art. Fingers crossed he doesn't ever changed companies! He got the tattoo on December 22, 2007 — coincidentally, the same day that Omar apparently changed medication.

They should do Kung-Fu style cauldrons that you have to pick up with your forearms then fall into the snow with game related markings. Some of you will get this, other will wonder who the hell David Carradine is.

I think it makes sense as a tattoo, it'll always be true to him. And it's practical too, he won't be as prone to getting mistaken for a dead body. I think as far as stupid tattoo's go, this is one of the best and most people will just think that he just enjoys his life.

Who cares,no lamer than all the other shit people tatoo on themselves.Eagles and fuckin lame ass cats,oh my faves gotta be hunters and those pathetic deer/moose etc etc tattos,OH even better is all the chinese writing that in most cases doesn't even spell what the owner thinks it does.I bet most of the guys hating on the tat likely have cheesie crap tats on themselves somewhere that they think are just the coolest but would make most of us go "what a fuckin loser"

I hope he's getting paid for that. I'm scared that the world is turning into a place where you'll start seeing people with, "I'm lovin' it." tatoos with golden arches on their arms.

I actually like this tattoo for the simple reason that the slogan can be adapted to anything and isn't really tied to one particular item at all. I'd much rather get this than say a Mario, Zelda, Gears of War Cog etc tattoo.. I just don't understand the hate compared to the praise given to those who get the aforementioned works :|

still not as devoted as the guy with the Zune tattoo, that guy is nuts...I mean I like my Zune and all, but the logo on my shoulder goes beyond fanboy into stupid.

It seems so tiny for a tatoo though.
Granted the inkwork does look nice.

O_o....how is this any different than that guy who had the Xbox "X" symbol cut in to the back of his hair and then had that green tattoo like coloring to make it seem like he had an actual glowing Xbox tattoo cut in to his hairline?
Or Peter Moore's "awesome" Halo tattoo.
I'm just saying....one mans fanboyism shouldn't be seen as "weird" while another mans rival fanboyism (while equally weird) is seen as "chic"

Regardless of the system it's advertising, "This is living" seems kind of a tongue in cheek thing to say. Like I picture a 90 year old dude barefoot skiing with Red Bull in hand, not a bunch of mouth breathing frat boys chewing me out on teamspeak.

I could be considered a fanboy of Sony (I've loved *most* of their hardware, software, movies, etc... pretty much all divisions in US and JP) and I had to look up this reference to get it. Apparently it was a weird campaign meant to be played for Europeans and Aussies. Personally I think Europeans and *especially* Aussies are pretty odd in themselves.
I think the Motorstorm one is the most random, and this guy will probably get more guff about it considering he is from SCEE.

Say I was a person who didn't know a thing about the PS3's ad campaign.
That slogan looks like it could either be for Nike or Coca Cola. Like one of those temporary rub-on tattoos you get at one of their sponsored events.
Incidentally, that's what this guy SHOULD have considered =/

For some reason I imagine the coroner having a good laugh when he gets to this guy's body.

"This is Living" can easily be seen as a non video game tattoo. Ill bet most people out there wont even get the reference.

Again, I don't see the BIG deal in this or more or less, the hate. I don't see the difference in getting a Mario, Master Chief, Portal, Street Fighter, Konami Code, Your favorite band or any tattoo for that matter. Is really interesting how far Video Games have become part of Pop Culture. Kudos to homeboy.
