The NEC PlayStation 2 Dating Game Laptop
Posted by Brian Ashcraft at 1:00 AM on March 5, 2008
Japanese electronics company NEC has a deal for you! For only ¥76,258 ($US 737), you can order a laptop engraved with dating sim KimiKiss from publisher Enterbrain. Check out these specs. Yep, seems like a novel way of NEC to clear out old older merchandise. Bravo, NEC. We're impressed.

My GF just bought one of these pink but without the marketing gimmick. They do sell these without the sticker or whatever the hell that is, and in different colors.

@Rinshu: Congratulations on your new PC purchase: you can choose Yumi, AND your choice of color between Berry Blue, Sugar Pink and Leaf Green.

Can I just get a green EeePC and put some anime school girl stickers on it? I wanna be cool, too, but I don't really need another laptop.

@Rinshu: Yummi & mao are both small fries.
They pale beside Eriko.
I'll let her "experiment" on me any day!

For 700 bucks those specs arent TOO bad. And I'd take one if they offered Yumi instead of Mao.

Those specs arent too bad for 700 bucks, and I'd take one if I could have Yumi instead of Mao.

Even though I agree it is too expensive, I still want it since it has my favorite character from the series on it (Mao-san). But I can live without it for that price.

Yeah, that's not a $700 laptop, no matter how you slice it. Especially since that engraving job looks small and awkward. Only the truly obsessed otaku would consider this, and I would figure most of them would know a bum deal when they see it.

You have to be kidding me. Buy any other laptop, find a picture of this girl, print it on sticker paper, put on laptop.
I could see maybe selling it for a bit less and pushing the collectable factor, but seriously. Would you even be able to run their games on this thing? (Yeah, I know you probably could, but still...)
