Im sorry, though I was not one of the people to ask for more than $15, mainly because I didn't vote, I would certainly have. By the time I finish my course at Uni I will be a fresh-faced games developer ready to get stuck into my first game. Lowering the price of a game means less money for the developers, which in time means less money for me, I then eventually start living outta a box in the street corner selling my own version of tetris running on old hardware and die a lonely sad induvidual!

Secondly, there's NO drm issues with xbox live. The only thing you'Ve heard about is that if you're not playing your game on the machine it was originally purchased on, then you need to be connected to XBL to play it.

Never EVER spend more than ten bucks on something you don't get actual media (be it cart cd or whatever)! It's just an all around bad idea. Especially with the DRM issues that seem to be happening with the 360.

I'm I like the only person who played this game and hated it a lot, that lack of a jump button really pissed me off, maybe it's because I didn't play a lot of nes games growing up but I never got the appeal of games that are so hard they make you want to break the controller in half. see also failing through the fire and the flames on expert at 1% 10 times in a row, I had to hand the guitar controller over to my friend so I wouldn't break the damn thing.

@Polywhirl: The size limit for XBLA games is 150MB and Bionic Commando: Rearmed is definitely going over that limit. You're right, though; that's a huge chunk of the Wii's internal memory.

@Polywhirl: Actually it has been confirmed that this and SSF2THDR are both being exempt so they will be larger than 150Mb. Though it might be worth mentioning that is for the HD textures. Since the Wii can't even comprehend, its size on the PS3/360 doesn't really mean much. That being said, it would still be pretty large. This is the whole reason why I couldn't give two shits about WiiWare, hell I only have like 20 blocks left anyways and that is with half my VC collection already backed up.

@Superstar90 lieks mudkipz: There might be size issues. The Wii can hold 512Mb of space for WiiWare, VC, and Mii's. Bionic Commando has been confirmed to be at least more than 50MB.That means it could be upwards of 150Mb. A lot of people would be unwilling to use 10-30% of their memory space for a single game- that couldn't be put onto a memory card.
Just a theory on why not.

I suggested I'd pay $20. The way it stands for me: I'd pay $20 today for the original NES game. If I'd do that, why wouldn't I pay $20 for a remake of it with improvements?

I believe the right price point is $10. But they asked what I'd be willing to pay, and I told the truth. I don't remember how much I paid for Bionic Commando when it was new, but honestly I thought it was worth it back then, and any price less than that is still worth it today. A good game is a good game, independent of era.

So here is the deal Capcom. I will pay $10 to download this game on Live. However, should you decide you like more money, you could give me what I want and sell it as a game disk on your website for $15. I would gladly pay $5 more to have a physical copy of the game.

I voted 10 dollars not because I wouldn't have paid 15, but because I think it would have done better for Capcom in the final analysis at 10 rather than 15. I personally think it more than merits a 15 dollar price tag, but I hope this show of good faith really helps Capcom sell units of this excellent looking game.

This is a marketing trick. They know that most people are on a tight budget and will vote $10. This just makes you feel a little guilty and of course, free publicity that makes them seem like good and caring devs that listen to their community. @Luke Plunkett: Of course it means squat. If the game does not sell enough copies to at least break even on development, then even though they get salaries, they may be laid off and looking for a new job.

And how do we know they don't get a bonus if the game does really well? I get a sizeable bonus at my job depending on how I perform and in effect how the company performs.

Money is your vote in this world, more than anything else. Pay more money for something, publishers will take more notice. I would pay $15 for this, but if the total profits are higher at $10 that is all the better for me and capcom.

(Which I why I buy my PS3 games new and my xbox360 games used at Gamestop -- hahahahahhaha. Also why I am buying Okami again on the Wii -- even if just to send my vote for good new IPs to capcom).

Well, the problem with these polls is that they're not very accurate, IMHO. I mean, if you had the choice between paying $10 and $15 for a product, you'd always choose the $10. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that you wouldn't pay $15 if that were the only price point available, you know?

As for me, I never played the original. I'll download the demo and if I like it, then I'll give the full version a shot, I suppose.
