The weekend ended up being a bigger success for getting some game time in than I originally expected. Got a ton of stars in Super Mario Galaxy (only ten to go), managed to get a million fans and inducted into the Hall of Fame in BWT mode of Rock Band, and got some time in on Phoenix Wright 3 and Sam & Max Season 1.

I just finished MotorStorm. The penultimate race, in which you are in an ATV against trucks, mudpluggers, buggies, etc., is a real challenge, because the AI is smart and will do everything they can to either run over you or run you into a wall. What a great game!

Sadly I have no interest in the MP at all as I tried to get into one game which consisted of 4 guys screaming about each one "loving the cock" without ever actually starting the fight. Moving swiftly on from there thankyou. Great SP, terrible MP( I imagine). Pick it up second-hand.
Call of Duty 4 might get a bit of a play as well since little bro is available this weekend and we can form a destructive tagteam of old tactics and teenage reflexes. Beware LIVE. We're coming. And we're very very Scottish.
Assassin's Creed is strange. I love free-running across the rooftops of the city but I detest the actual murderating part of the game. It might be heading for the trade-in pile as well. I also noticed I have PGR lying here. Toss it on the pile as well.
I've got Blue Dragon sitting unloved and untouched since about my birthday 5 months ago. I wonder if I should just put it out of it's misery and trade it as well. I'm sorry, but it's just not Final Fantasy VII/VIII . Yes I'm a slag for those. Sue me. It's a nice enough game but it just fails to capture my imagination.
Beautiful Katamari is a mandatory purchase but more in a case of "I will own it at some point" rather than "OMG Do want", as is Burnout Paradise.
I recently picked up a slew of DS games as well which got a thorough playing between lectures today, including Professor Layton and it's intriguing. I suppose it's better than endlessly playing Geometry Wars. Nothing on the Wii horizon this weekend and similarly for the PC scene bar a quick trip to 2fort and DOTA if certain people appear online.
All in all, a very 360 weekend. Oh and level 5 of Rez is going DOWN!

@baxterpunch: Yeah, they were very interesting. I never really cared for Final Fantasy, but I knew of him (what real gamer doesn't?), and I loved his music. After playing Blue Dragon and 'especially' Lost Odyssey, I have been able to see his work in the best enviorment it was designed for. So I sat down and started to watch him talk about his life and something just kept me interested. He is just a interesting person to listen too, not only because of his legendary satus, but just because he's very interesting to listen to. Now don't misquote me LO is a GREAT game, one of 360's best, but Uematsu's music really makes it a unremarkable experience. Simply said, he is a genius, the best in the industry and just a down to earth and interesting guy, great videos.

@DrakeLake: I liked it at the time it came out.
I don't know if it would hold up, but found it more fun than Quake 2 and Unreal by far. Was it worth 30 million and all the dev time? No of course not they didn't know what they were doing business wise and made plenty of mistakes. It should have taken 2 years max and had a bit more polish(level design varies from fantastic to bland), but I played the heck out of the middle two episodes in co-op and it was the first MP that had me playing regularly. The internet and people in general don't like shades of grey, people don't have the time in our media drenched world, and therefore opinions tend to quickly polarize.

@DrakeLake: If you're serious and it's the single player you should probably cheat through the first part of the game, the two middle acts are the best parts (the first levels feature the most annoying weapon and enemies and the combo together turn a lot of people off). The MP is badass though. Fast as quake with tons of interesting weapons.

I've been playing the original N game since Kotaku posted the link to the download. I'm freakin' obsessed with that game! I play it for at least half an hour every day! I want to get N+ when it comes out on the DS, although the XBLA version sounds to be a lot better. I've also been playing Super Mario Galaxy all the way through for a second time to see if I can cut down on my death count for Mario & Luigi. So far, I've done pretty good, although I had some stupid deaths getting hurt, w/ cheap falls, & losing cosmic races (Curse you, Cosmic Luigi!!!).

Hopefully, I can go through the whole game someday without a single death. I seriously know every level like the back of my hand! I think Bully is coming out on the Wii & 360 next week, so I might rent it. Also, SMBB is coming out the following Sunday, March 9!!! I think I still have time to pre-order it.

I've been playing Frontlines: Fuel of War -- I like the online stuff a lot! The variety of maps have to be played very differently. I'll be finishing up Tomb Raider: Anniversary ... and I have to play some more Professor Layton -- it's too much fun!

I'm also going to a renaissance festival with my gf, so that may bite into some of my game time :D
