Mark Rein Still Has Gears of War 2 Stuff To Show You

Mark Rein's best cheerleader? Mark Rein. And man, is Mark Rein ever excited about that Game Informer article on Gears of War 2. Like, it's probably the best thing Mark Rein has read all month. Says Mark Rein:
Awesome... I've had a chance to read the Game Informer story now and I think when people get a chance to read it they'll see that [Gears 2 is] really good. And we told the Game Informer guys just a tidbit about the game. We showed them some stuff, obviously, but we're keeping a lot of information back that will make people go, 'It's even better than this.' As good as they say it is, and they really, really like it, there's still a lot of story to open up between now and when the game ships in November... I think people will really enjoy this game.Of course you do, Mark! That's your job!!

Oh just looked at the scans...interesting look it's going for...oh wait one quote "...the behind the scenes tech will be new, the gameplay...will appear mostly familiar to fans" Is this going the way of UT?

I'm sure I'll pick up Gears 2,but I am terrible in the MP aspect.It seems in almost all 3rd person games really.I can't understand it,since I'm pretty good in FPS though.
I'm just ready to see what Epic has down the road aside from Gears.

Well I look at it like this: Fix the host (insert weapon here) add better online group or party options ie: Halo3, Call of duty 4. Then you might just have a game that has longevity in its future. Keep forgetting these 2 crucial things and low on xbox live you will become. Now dont get me wrong im sure it will be fun as hell, but id rather it be fun and have some longevity like the 2 ive named earlier. And ive heard it all before! I can beat this host i can beat that host. Great! But for some this is a huge problem at least try to cover it up a little bit.

@Gray665: You are right it is #5 not bad for a game that when it came out was nothing else worth playing. I also know ppl that will never touch Halo or Call of Duty because all they know is Gears and same goes for Halo and or call of duty when it comes to rainbow. But my point is when it all comes down to the "hype train" rather than sit back and fuel the flames why cant ppl get together to see what makes a great online game obvisiouly I would use #1 #2 and #3 as examples: Call of Duty 4, Halo3 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2. As far as shooters go. Cause I mean hey im no guitar hero or anything. Just sticking with the genre and facts. Halo3: party system and very unnoticable host Call of duty 4: same Rainbow six vegas 2: Game style and terrorist hunt.
Imagine if Army of Two (days renter) had a terrorist hunt. Imagine the replayability it would have had. Yeah they screwed the pooch on that one!
I dont know i guess im just tired of seeing the hype for a 60$ game that is old within 3 months if they dont fix the stuff from GOW1........ Will i buy it? Yeah i love coop! Will it last and eventually wind up subpar to the halo's and call of dutys if its starting problems arent fixed. You decide!

Sounds like they've made some significant changes... the multi-difficulty level coop will be great for bridging the gap for casual and hardcore gamers to play together...
