Erotic PSP Game Smothers Mario Kart Wii In Sales

Defeated. Beaten. By boobs. While Mario Kart Wii posted healthy numbers across the country during its first week on sale, in more discerning Akihabara shops, the game was outsold by PSP erotic game title Bokudake no Kajitsu ("Only My Fruit"). The "game" is actually considered an UMD video and hasn't been approved by Sony or even been rated by CERO, Japan's ESRB. But since it uses interactive menus, Bokudake no Kajitsu can be played like a typical point-and-click PC eroge, complete with animated "event scenes." According to shop Messe Sanoh's sales chart, MK Wii was outsold by two PSP titles:
1. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G
2. Bokudake no Kajitsu
3. Mario Kart Wii
Clearly Nintendo has underestimated Akihabara shoppers. Needs more monsters, more jubblies, less kart.

Folks, this is pretty much a no-brainer. Boobs, and more specifically porn with boobs, outsells everything.
Just imagine if Halo 3 had been outsold by an erotica game for the DS? Chaos in the streets, my friends, I guarantee you.

i don't think mario kart will do that well in the states either. my friend and me love the series, but it's difficult to buy gta and mario kart in a week. I feel gta will overshadow the title here.

When you consider the amount of commuting that the Japanese do on a daily basis, the PSP taking over isn't that surprising. I think it's more apparent now with garuge sneaking into the top five slot.

Really though, how often does that happen is real life? Think you'd have to be one hell of a lucky guy for a girl like that to fall on you (I'm guessing she fell).
As for Mario Kart, hmm. Maybe people don't enjoy Mario Kart as much as the other Wii titles. I don't know. I'm sure it'll sell well over time.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised that, uh... 'procreation' games would outsell a racing game. I mean seriously. Who didn't see this coming? I'm sure if the sales charts included the H dating sim games, not many console games would top the charts. And that's including the Non-H version dating sims that were so popular on the PS2...

The ISO does work in US PSP's with hacked firmware. I didn't really see any interaction to this game really, but when you don't understand what their saying... I guess that is where I didn't see the erotic part either. 20 minutes wasted. For being an erotic game I expected atleast less clothing.
